I think Winchester will start. Leadbitter and Scowen were poor today imo. Diamond has a good case to start as well. Defence and keeper were sound but creativity needs a bit of work.

    It's a tough one mate.

Scowen did as much as anyone but also lost the ball when he shouldn't have.

I'd hope Winchester is better and believe he is.

Sadly I think Leadbitter might be the one who loses his place.

One of them will be dropped imo. I think it will be leadbitter, although I think he was marginally better than Scowen today.

I'll he honest, either way I'm not too bothered, I like what the gaffer says so I'll go with whatever he decides, I trust what him and Speakman are doing.

Until the wheels come of obviously :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Interested to see what you think leadbitter did wrong today. There weren’t many opportunities for the “sparkling through ball” or defence splitting pass. He took control of the ball a lot when we lost it.

scowen I thought was absolutely woeful. But he did set up a goal!!

Scowens distribution is generally poor, having said that occasionally he passes a decent through ball. He is no scoring threat imo. Would like to see him replaced by someone (who I dont know). I dont like him

Next season's midfield could be Scowen, Winchester and Neil. Not likely to strike much fear into the opposition.

I like Grant but I thought he was poor yesterday. Didn't dominate the game at all. I wanted him to drive us on for the second when we were 1 up but it was all a bit flat, passing was poor. Maybe the number of games is catching up with him and he needs a break. I agree with your Scowen comment, he was poor as well. Nowt came off for Mcgeady either and he was pretty anonymous.

All in all, it's pretty weird how we won 3-0 <laugh>

If we won when playing badly, (so did Wimbledon), can you imagine what will happen if we play well!

I'm delighted with the 3-0, it seemed a totally different game to the Lincoln match but just about the same result. It's a funny old game!

That's how I saw the game. I wasn't surprised at all when Mcgeady was subbed, as he was awful.

Leds & Mcgeady both getting on a bit. Maybe bench them for the Plymouth game and use the squad.

I agree. The old guard need to give way to the new blood. Winnie and Diamond in for both of them

He didn’t dominate in possession but he did cover ground and provide valuable tackling when needed. Think that’s the point I was trying to make. Leadbitter put in some excellent and much needed tackles yesterday but he didn’t dominate the passing like we know he’s capable. Different type of game maybe?

we won as Charlie’s finishing was absolutely the three goals! How surreal is it to say that!!!

The finishes were class. I thought the second was particularly sublime. Great movement and finish.

I love Leadbitter and understand the role he plays sitting in front of and protecting the back four, but he doesn't half slow the game down. Our tempo drops to walking pace as soon as he gets on the ball. Trouble is he is the one midfielder we have with vision and hits some great balls into the danger area.

Me neither Gil, but when we are chasing a game, it's very frustrating watching him slow the tempo right down.

I agree, he is slow but is probably our best passer...

Mcgeady also one of our best attackers but a huge liability in any sort of defensive position.

So a job for the manager is working out how to make the most out of the positive aspects of these two players whilst minimising the problems they also present.

    Leads has to pass quicker...

Often the person i feel sorry for is the full back operating behind Mcgeady. I reckon Hume got some criticism when he first came into the side, partly cos Mcgeady was in front of him, offering very little assistance in any defensive work for a young lad just starting out. Talk about baptism of fire.
