Can be happy but still not think he wants to stay. And you can take money not being an issue in two ways....not a problem giving him what he wants or (more likely) it isn’t about money, he is holding out in case a club in European competitions comes along.
Seems like he is happy to stay, happy with what’s on offer, but wants a safeguard (release clause) in case a CL club comes in for him. That’s also pretty much what’s been reported the past week.
Yeah pretty much this. He doesn't actively want to leave, but he also doesn't want to sign a deal that effectively means that there's never any chance of him getting a big move if such a club shows an interest. He's happy here but doesn't want the door completely shut, which is fair enough really.
I still think that he will stay it's just us fans getting jumpy which will be the case until he signs. We have been conditioned to expect the worst because of the amount of player we have lost over the years.
Listen to the Seemens interview in full. He is clear a release clause is not the issue. They don't do release clauses. If an offer comes in and the player wants to leave they negotiate at that point.
Honestly i am long past caring who goes, as long as the right infrastructure is in place we can replace and continue. I have lost count how many times i have thought if we lose X player we are in the **** and every time i am wrong provided we have a decent managment structure in place
Cheers, just listened to it in full now. So we don't do release clauses. Makes you wonder where on earth that story came. Semmens said Danny wants to focus on football for now, so I guess he's still just waiting to see what may or may not develop in the summer before committing to us, which is fair enough.
That when they bought him they knew he had a medical problem, and it was Semmens himself who ok’d the deal. He was ready getting upto speed then he got a muscle injury which set him back but he will be ready. He’s young,he’s come from a foreign country but he will be a first class addition to the squad.
Good good. Thanks to Vesty and Stephens stepping up we haven't missed him as much as we may have feared back in September.
Listening to Semmens he gave me the impression that Salisu will be a regular centre back. Obviously when he’s fit and well. The club rate him really highly
