About time we had one of these threads, and it looks like Takumi Minamino is on his way from Liverpool on loan. If he’s anything like our last loan move from Pool he’ll do just fine.
If we manage to get him and he has even half as much character and work ethic as Maya Yoshida then he will be a great signing, especially if we go on to sign him permanently in the summer.
I don't think he's meh. I think there's a good player in there and I think it might be an astute bit of business given a few games. I'd far rather have him than Origi tbh. He'll be cup tied for the FA Cup though, sadly.
He's been awful every time I've watched him. Mate who supports them says he seems to be lacking in the basics a lot of the time. Obviously I'll give him a chance but I'm really not expecting much, as he's not very good.
I dunno mate. Liverpool fans I speak to think he's not quite at their level, but given a Fats-style six game run is a good, creative player. I mean, not really a striker - more a 10 that can feed to Ings/Adams etc, which is really what we need. They all prefer him to Origi, who they think is pony.
I don't really have an opinion on him as a player. And my opinion is useless anyway as I was disappointed when we brought Walcott in (and thank goodness we did bring him in). Not going to complain about getting an extra player in as we are so threadbare that we have unknowns on the bench. Lets hope he fits in well and has a part to play in our push back up the table.
