    Brendan Rodgers ... No thanks
can not stand him and tbh do not think he likes us considering the amount of ****e he spouts off about us

    Julian Nagelsmann ... ?
Know nothing about him or his style of football

Rafa Benitez ... get to ****

    Max Allegri ... ?
    Same as Nagelsmann

    Eddie Howe ... No
Will be a car crash of an appointment

    Scott Parker ... No
    Not experienced enough imho
will be our version of Chelsea appointing fat Frank.

    Mauricio Pochettino ... No
    Why?????
as in why would he leave PSG and why would we want him back?
would be admitting he should never have been sacked.

    Steven Gerrard ... No
Wants to manage Liverpool so even if he is a success he'd be off like a shot if they come calling and tbh I ain't sure Kopp will be there for more than 2 more years.

    Frank Lampard ... see Benitez
Levy out...ENIC out and close the stadium if this happens

    I don’t disagree tbh.
I think football has changed...but I ain't sure JM has adapted.
Rodgers and Moyes have and you can see that in how their teams play.
Fat Sam ain't and it shows.

Unfortunately for us, I think that's what has happened to JM.

I don't think football's changed that much and I don't think that any of those managers have changed either, to be honest.
Moyes is doing about as well as he did at Everton and Rodgers doesn't seem any different to when he was at Liverpool.
They're both doing good jobs, but the expectations are a little lower than they had at other clubs.

Rodgers did well enough with Swansea to get a shot at Anfield, where his side scored 101 league goals in a season.
They finished 7th, 2nd and 6th. Fairly decent, if not amazing. It's hard to judge his time at Celtic, but he basically won everything.

The problem is that so-called stat is riddled with issues

First of all, our form was already dipping alarmingly in January and was wobbling again in March which had us in 8th, and it was our post-restart form that had us finish in 6th - which only happened because Wolves lost their final match which saw us finish above them on goal difference. And considering the suspension allowed us to get Kane, Son and Sissoko fit again, as they were all slated to be out until late May/early April, there's no denying that the ubermensch did as well out of Covid as Jeff Bezos has

Secondly, the problem with quoting that stat is it underlines failure, in much the same was in the 2007-8 season somebody could say that we were three points of tenth when Juande Ramos took over and ended up in the same place, which is...well, that's hardly impressive, is it? And also not a Spurs manager anyone should be drawing comparisons with

I am surprised at how hidebound Jose is. I thought his start with us was good. He identified the weaknesses and strengths within the squad and appeared to do a better job at addressing those in the transfer window than any manager at Spurs for a long time. Since then he has been seduced by Kane & Son into not being able to see an alternative way to score goals and fearful after West Ham of conceding goals. He was not wrong in that analysis but why did he chose to just go with it and not look for a way to improve our movement forward and spread the load. Instead we become even more reliant on Kane & Son and he then bullies all of the team to get back and defend all of the time

He is clearly not a tactical genius because he is unable to adjust a team to different opposition and to different situations within the squad. My feeling is that he developed a classic Portuguese method of defending and looking for quick breaks had success in Porto and Chelsea (his first stint) then reached a peak at Inter Milan winning a brilliant treble. I suspect from there he has been living on his reputation and just like Guadiola has enjoyed the highest quality squads to work with at Real Madrid and back to Chelsea then he begins to get found out at United well below their usual standard and Spurs one level down from most of his previous clubs. If you add his dubious man management skills that adds up to a pretty convincing reason for Spurs to start looking for an alternative manager. I honestly think Venables and Redknapp have shown far superior tactical nouse than Jose. Maybe instead of 'The greatest manager in the world' he should be more correctly described as 'The luckiest manager in the world.' I would have given that to Guardiola before but what he is doing right now at City without some of his best players shows me he has some managerial skills after all.

A lot of his alternative players are worth around £40m+ though so it's not that impressive to be honest. City can almost field two separate XIs in which both would comfortably finish in the top four.

    Ederson
    Walker, Dias, Laporte, Mendy
    Silva, Fernandinho, de Bruyne
    Mahrez, Aguero, Sterling

    Steffen
    Cancelo, Stones, Ake, Zinchenko
    Gundogan, Rodri, Foden
    RW?, Jesus, Torres

Bloody scary really how much they've spent and the quality they possess.

You missed out Eric Garcia, who'll be making his way to Barca on a free or he'd be starting a lot, in all likelyhood.
Liam Delap is probably the next in line from their academy, making a lot of us feel very old, as he's the son of Wenger terrorizer Rory.

His old man was the GOAT at throw-ins. Who the **** makes a throw-in one of the deadliest weapons in the game?! <laugh>

The more pressing question is why hasn't anyone else copied it? You'd have thought that it would become a staple of the defensive sides.
Liverpool brought in a throw-in coach a while ago and he did virtually the opposite, to some effect.
Quick and progressive. Everyone on the same page.

I can only presume that not many possess that pure ability to do so(?), his throws were like rockets, I bet some players can’t even strike the ball with their feet as well as Delap could throw. I’ve seen one or two players in the past able to throw it long (think Gunarsson at Cardiff a few years ago was one IIRC) but none had the speed and power Delap’s had.

He didn't arc them. They were really flat and fast.
Some leagues do really acrobatic ones to put extra power on them. Iran, I think, has a lot of them.
Our players would just end up injuring themselves.

At an early point in Delap's career he was in a competition with Dave Challinor to see who could get the most assists from throw-ins

I'm sure matches featuring the two must have been very interesting and exciting spectacles...

8 goals conceded in 2 games. First time that has happened to Jose in his career.

One thing I have to say, the Everton match seemed like one of those examples where the ubermensch deliberately sets us up with crap tactics so that he can say after the loss that he's right and everyone who doubts him is wrong

    Bollocks

Nobody I can name thought we should have been gung ho against Everton, as we all know our midfield cannot handle going gung ho against them
Nobody I can name thinks that Harry Winks is a like-for-like replacement for Ndombele
Nobody I can name thinks an attacking midfield of Lucas, Lamela and Bergwijn is a good idea
Nobody I can name thinks we should play Son as a lone striker against...well let's just say Premier League opposition

Costing us a spot in the FA Cup out of spite is not good management

Kinda falls apart when we started the game so well and should've been out of sight by the time they equalised, though.
Their penalty was bullshit, their fourth goal shouldn't have counted because of the foul on Ndombele and it should've finished 4-2 to us.

Attack, score, sit back, concede late, drop points. Repeat.
Now we're starting defensively and skipping the going ahead part.

On the plus side, we have options at LB and RB
