Roll up roll up for match 29 of a packed Championship season. Both teams have actually had a week off from the frenetic fan starved season. Form: Norwich City: LDDWW 2nd Stoke City: DDLDD 9th A Tale of Two Cities - Both wanting to improve their recent run of form. Can Norwich once again climb to the summit of the league, can Stoke make a push into the play-off positions? Stoke have two ex-canary loan players in their first team squad in the form of Angus Gunn and Sam Vokes. None of the Norwich first team have played for Stoke. Can they do it on a cold Tuesday Night at Stoke? We were asked in November of this season and, we did, though it was closer than it perhaps should have been after a Buendia sending off. We have Buendia back for this game and can his creativity be the key to unlocking the Stoke defence? I hope so because we haven't scored in about 4 years. Here's the highlights from earlier on in the season to remember what a goal for Norwich actually looks like
Stoke have no wins in their last 5 games, and have only won once since 5th December. They play Reading today. On paper, our next 5 games are all very winnable, then we welcome Brentford to Carrow Road. Hopefully we can get a win against Stoke, and play ourselves into form over the next few games. Realistically we need 3-4 wins minimum from this run of games before Brentford.
A week's rest and Emi's return will help get us back on track, as DF points out: https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwi...el-farke-goal-scoring-issues-solution-7312086
I posted on the Stoke board last night to see if any of them wanted to come and contribute to the thread.
Looks like Gunny will be in goal against us at the weekend. I hope I'm wrong but we usually have our ex keepers play absolute blinders against us , as a boyhood canary fan hopefully he drops a clanger for us .
