Yep...cheers...different sources gave different stats...so I have just gone by the official site's stats.
Right gents, no nonsense talk of taking a point and being happy. We are the form team in the division and we should be looking to keep this current run going. Bournemouth are really under achieving and most of the time look like a side that are going through the motions and think they are too good for this league. Very similar in that respect to Watford. Lets get at them, win and close the gap at the top and widen the gap from the drop.
Woodgate has turned it around though. On paper they are a better, quicker, stronger team than we are and both sides are on form. Delighted we’ve got a bit of a buffer now but a point against Bournemouth still represents a good result. But we can go into it confident and play for the win and see how we go.
Bournemouth are on the start of a good run over the last 3 matches so we will have a game on our hands. Not a time to think we’re invincible - a game we could win but we will need to graft hard for it.
This run of Bournemouth’s consist of a pretty lucky 1-0 home win over Rotherham, a 0-0 draw with perennial under achievers Forest and a 3-2 scrappy win over Birmingham who are possibly the worst team in the league or vey close. It’s not like they have beaten Brentford, Blackburn and Watford is it......
MASSIVE game this! A win would put us ten points off the play-offs with two games in hand. A few more wins after this one and we will be fancying another Wembley jolly-up.
This is a really crazy and emotive league. Only a few weeks ago the knives were out to sack MW as were about to be relegated. Only a few weeks later, and there we might be upset with a message board melt-down that we messed up the chase for the play-offs. My take aways are : - we need to control our expectations - I am VERY pleased that we kept Mark Warburton. Let's hope we get another 3 points tomorrow! COYR's!
I guess that we will play the same team? However the questions is, which one: - the starting eleven? - or the 2nd half eleven? - or possibly, the same tactics and same substitutions? Not an easy choice.
I am not expecting us to nick 6th place, but it is a possibility, especial if we can get the win tomorrow.
