... lets banish all further mentions of our now, wonderfully, ex-owners. Seriously they're as much a part of our past as Tom Cowie, Gareth Hall, Jack Rodwell and that Honduran midget. We have a promotion push, Wembley final and a billionaire football fanatic to look forward to ... ... time to stop looking backwards, in my opinion.
Talking of our past failures you could have gone on and on and on and on which would have eaten in to celebratory drinking time , agree let’s move on and look to the future .
I can’t agree with you on this. I do get where you are coming from and your enthusiasm is admirable but until we know for definite that they are not making decisions or influencing those that are, then they are not part of our past.
I am of the opinion that Mr Dreyfus has been making all the decisions for many weeks as he has been assembling his management team , and I am quite happy with the work he has done so far . I am sure their will be further appointments made in the near future which need to be made . The old guard are minority shareholders and unable to make decisions unless Mr Dreyfus allows them and I am sure he will be astute enough to be well aware of the mistakes made by the previous regime .
We need to remember the past so we dont make the same mistakes again...we need to remember our past & this mess SIMPLY because very very very few football clubs in the world would have retained the level of support we have....we need to remember the past because if we ever end up being really good WE were here when we were ****. BUT we need to look forward to a future with a proper plan ran by football people....lets get owt of this fuxking division...lets look forward to the first game back with fans & the place packed with packed Its just the start...but SUNDERLAND ARE BACK...lets enjoy tgis ride KTF
We are all scarred and always will be but we don't need to keep going over it. Smug is correct - move on.
I've just been told, by a NE football writer, that one of the conditions of sale was that Donald was entitled to one statement. Hopefully that's true and I believe it is.
We can't change the past, but also can't forget it. The good times that I believe will come will be made better because of them
Was his handing over the reins statement it , hopefully that is the case . One thing that rankles is that as a member of the board he will be at Wembley when 40,000 Mackems can’t because of COVID restrictions and he will be there with that smug grin of his , no offence to our Smug in Boots intended .
It would be bizarre if the 3 amigos were having any say so let’s file them as also rans and look forward to a bright new dawn
Let's not forget, even though we may despise him, that Charlie Methven has been quite influential in a lot of what has been happening recently. I'm sure it was him who invited KLD to have a look at the club, and it was CM who asked Steve Davison along when he'd handed in his notice at his last job, resulting in him being brought into the club as chief operations man.
