And he's playing for United!

He'll never be successful at a big club. Just another one season wonder who never appreciated what he had. Guaranteed he'll be playing for one of the "also rans" in the French league in a few seasons.

 

Really average performance but results are all. 3-1 probably flattered United somewhat but it is all about scoring. And let’s be absolutely honest here. If we can’t beat Newcastle then we don’t deserve anything.

We have to move on and improve. The next 2 matches are should wins before we meet City.

 

Next two matches could go either way. Our defence could buckle in the first 5 mins against Chelsea and we'll struggle beyond that. Or the fact they'll likely come out and attack will give us the space to open them up and score ourselves and win.

 

May be I should have said “mustn’t lose” matches. Chelsea are 5th and we certainly don’t want them to catch up on us. We need to sort out the slow start which has characterised most of our matches.

 

We can afford to start with a reasonably strong 11 vs Sociedad with the 3 goal cushion. Then take them off hopefully leading at home, and rest them enough for the Chelsea game.

Chelsea won't have that luxury having to play away to Athletico Madrid.
