When was the last time we went 21 games without a win? Not gonna happen. Tell ya what how about a wager? If we go down I'll give ya 500 quid, if we stay up you only give me 50? It's just not going to happen mate.
Ok, so maybe in a RACI model, he is accountable, and the players responsible (with Ralph also sharing responsibility). But do you not find some things strange, like keeping Macca in who has let in more goals in the last few matches than some teams do in entire seasons? Or keeping pretty much the same formation throughout when right now it just isn’t working. I also just fail to understand why we haven’t kept Ramsey int he team instead of Bedders at RB, if he insists on playing a back 4. Or l pushing players so far up the pitch in search of an equaliser we handed their 2nd goal on a plate. I also aren’t blaming Moussa for tonight as that would be nuts, but other than a great game Sat v Chelsea, he is completely out of his depth and causes us more problems than he does the opposition. The only, and I mean only bright moment tonight was Tella, who I thought was bloody good, and couldn’t understand why he went off when he was our most dangerous player. So these things are things, and others, that Ralph needs to own and deal with.
Why the worried face, he has a lot of potential to do well, and I rate Moussa so poorly, so my judgement is likely to be clouded.
I thought that’s is why youre mean to me sometimes. Bloody flirting with me I dont mind doing the one after the `City game i think.
We could lose another 5 games in a row, and we'd still be averaging a 38 point season. And barely ever do you need 38 points to stay up. Something around the 35 or 36 point mark is invariably enough. That's how bad you have to be to fail to get 38 points: we can lose six games in a row, and 12 from 13, and win just one from 18, and STILL be averaging 38 points. Obviously I'd rather we were sitting here on 40 points rather than 30. But we still have to play Sheff Utd, WBA, Burnley, Fulham, Brighton and Palace. Two wins from that lot will do it. Quite possible that just the one will be enough in fact, depending on the number of draws and what we do in the other seven matches (probably not much, alas).
BTW for those saying Fulham will catch us. You do know that Burnley, Brighton, Newcastle & Fulham have to catch us.
Pretty harsh on Macca from some of you I feel, there was no reaching the first goal, couldnt have been any tighter in the corner and the third from the freekick. very well placed. He also made two excellent reaction saves. However, its probably past time to let Fraser have a crack if only to freshen things up and try something different. Anything is worth a go atm.
Jeez, let us wallow in self loathing and pitiful despair. Too many good, sensible posters on here I do however, really value your opinion - what do you think Ralph needs to do to get out of This Mess We’re In? Maybe we should ask Polly Jean and Thom.
Well, I think you are being very kind to Macca. Is he your cousin or something, cos goal 1 and 3 are saved by most EPL keepers.
They still beat us, with 9 men We are the worst form team in the league no, I don’t think we will go down.
Agree with you, but also, the previous poster said about us having makeshift positions, as do every other club in the league just now. Granted we have had more than our fair share, but Leeds also have a good few out lately.
Come on Billy, What possible reason would you have for questioning the worried face? You know the answer to your own question and if Diallo were available I doubt we'd even be discussing it.
What, because he made a mistake in hist 1st ever game, away at Utd. Please dont do that thing of telling me I know the answer to my own Q. It is a really irritating and disingenuous thing to do, and I hope youre better than that. So, are you are referring to him getting a red? So what if Diallo were available? He wasnt tonight, and Ralph decided to stick 679 attacking players on, which turned out to be the wrong choice. He has made a few of those lately.
