Loads of old school pubs used to have salted peanuts and crisps on the bar. And pork scratchings for sale. Salty snacks to encourage you to drink more <ok>

Anyway....I voted shake it all about because both in and out has good reasons

What about big bottles of fizzy? In the fridge? Sometimes can be an issue fitting them in and tend to lose gas fairly quickly for my liking. However...if kept outside like in the supermarkets...then it’s warm.

    ice cubes?

yeah I see how Ice cubes can solve it

you freeze your own? I did all my life then I figured **** it...pay a quid and get a bag full. Problem was freezer space but I got me another freezer, in my cellar

If you have a heatwave it just melts. You'd probably have to leave butter out of the fridge for a year or more for it to go rancid.
In which case, you probably just don't eat butter, so shouldn't buy any in the first place.

Probs a good one for fridge debate part 6

But fizzy drinks in the fridge every time. If it's losing gas, you probs need to do the lid up tighter.

I get grief from my lot for doing the lid up too tight because no other ****er can get it undone afterwards <laugh>

Yeah if it melts, the fats and solids will start to separate.

I do it bare tight...but I got to lay it flat...I don’t stand it in the door shelves coz every time y open door, y shake bottle and that increases the rate of losing the fizz. I dunno

My grandparents did 'pub grub', ploughman's, egg & chips, sausage and chips, that kind of thing. It was about 300-400 yards from one of the junctions of the M25, which they were building when they had the pub. It got knocked down about 20 years ago which makes me sad, got a lot of happy memories from there. I'm not much of a drinker these days, but when I was a kid I was always driving my little red bus behind the bar drinking from the drips trays, or sitting on the bar taking sips from the regular's guinness.
can't find any decent photo's of it online sadly.

Yeah, every time you open the bottle it will lose some gas. Reckon you either need another fridge just for your pop or open the door nice and slowly, like the do on horror movies when they are ****ting themselves about what's behind it.

Big bottles go in the fridge then, when I open it, I decanter the rest into 1/2 litre bottles. They stay fizzy.

That sounds like far too much effort.

    I’m out.

Hardly any effort at all, if it was, I probably wouldn't do it.

I don’t really buy fizzy drinks. But I do like sparkling water. Makes sense to buy them in 2L bottles though otherwise it’s just loads more plastic to deal with.
