The End Of Season Doom Countdown Ticker

I thought it might be fun to keep track of the last 8 games of the season for us and our relegation rivals. Looks like our run in is one of the kindest on paper. For the others, lots of matchups with Burnley, Brighton Newcastle which will favour us hopefully. I'd say Newcastle and Brighton have the toughest run ins. Brighton especially.

There are at least 5 games in there for us that we should be approaching with some confidence. If we can get more than draws we will be alright. If Brighton didn't win today the collective bum squeaking should have been audible over here in NZ looking at their final games.They'll be mighty relieved.

 

Thing is as well, that all our 'threat' teams will be taking points from one another too.

 

Yep, I mentioned that in the original post, Brighton, Burnley, Newcastle and Fulham have lots of matchups in the last 8.

 

Both Fulham and Brighton will stay up imo. So we’d better hope Newcastle don’t win another game.

 

I think l Newcastle have one win before the last game. Then they play Fulham.

 

And hopefully we will have no interest in the outcome of that game, having beaten West Brom, Palace and Liverpool

 

We are going Down I said before ings was holding off signing a new contract in case we went down , and I was joking at the time.........

I think we need 4 points max, maybe less.

 

We’re away to Liverpool on my 60th birthday, so I confidently expect us to get three of them there

On a WhatsApp group a Red mate of mine texted yesterday. "You were almost as ****e against Brighton as we were. Reckon you need 3 points to be safe. You've still to come to Anfield where we gift-wrap the points and leave them in the dressing room."
