In the Vegas food court the queue for Wendy’s was massive so we thought we’d see what the fuss was about. Was pretty good tbh. Some may even say elite
I'd pitch Wendy's above Burger King but below 5 Guys. Always wanted to know what Jack in the Box was like and ended up having one last time I was in Vegas, not impressed at all. Never been to an In & Out, might try those if I ever get back to the States. Grove Junior (Senior) wouldn't stop banging on about Waffle House when we took the kids to Florida so we went to one. Oh. My. Word. Food was awful and the clientele was redneck trailer trash (we fit right in). The waitress looked at us like "what the f.uck are you cornbread looking muthaf.uckas doing in here? Olive Garden is 2 miles that way!". Much preferred Denny's and, of course, my all time favourite International House Of Pancakes. Fookin love me some IHOP.
Only if you do it to excess Seeing as you design your own burger from scratch if you didn't like it then chances are it's your own fault. They are very expensive though so hard to justify the outlay when a McCheeseburger is less than a quid. The skin-on chips are nice. Grove Junior (Junior) loves the help yourself drinks, comes back with some revolting concoctions of his own. Did you know that the first time I ever had Dr Pepper was a freebie give away outside Wendy's in the West End? True story.
Couple of nice places in Glasgow for burgers is a place called El Pero Negro on Woodlands Road and there are a few franchises called "Bread Meats Bread" across the city which do nice burgers too. Here endeth the lethon.
Gourmet Burger Kitchen is pish. Chips are nice but you only get four with your extremely undercooked burger. Five Guys is a bargain in comparison.
Hmm I tend to avoid those franchise burger places. If I want a cheap fast food burger I'll go to Burgerking. Baz's Bread meats Bread is decent though. In Glasgow I'd go to somewhere like the Butcher's shop or Howlin Wolf's if I want to buy a decent expensive burger. At least those places make their own burgers fresh and don't use frozen patties like 5 guys.
