Good Morning. It's Thursday 8th April, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Leeds find alternative to De Paul With the likes of Liverpool, Inter Milan and Juventus all being heavily linked with Udinese’s prize asset Rodrigo De Paul, Leeds may have found the perfect replacement. If media reports are correct, the Argentine came close to signing for the Whites last Summer. Unfortunately, Leeds could not justify his price tag of 35m. With three heavyweight European clubs throwing their hats into the ring, his valuation will only go up. Victor Orta would have noticed a recent article in the Mirror, that Spurs are about to offload seven players, one of which is Erik Lamela. The attacking midfielder only has twelve months of his contract left, hence the Tottenham hierarchy want to sell him before he leaves for nothing. Lamela, like De Paul is an attacking midfielder with natural flair and aggression. They are both from Argentina. please log in to view this image Double or Quit Former Soccer player, now pundit Kevin Campbell has told Leeds they need to at least double his existing salary if they want to keep him at Elland Road. Bamford, approaching his final twelve months of his contract currently earns £40,000 a week, the same as Kiko Casilla. Phil Hay revealed back in February that talks were underway to secure a new contract for the 27yo. Nobody can argue that if Bamford can keep his current form going, why Leeds wouldn't break the bank to keep him. Campbell said “Let me tell you, if Leeds United do not double his money they will lose him,” “Bamford has been so productive for them this season, he’s been sensational really. “I can only see him getting double his current wages – minimum. If a club came along and offered 40m for Bamford's services, would you accept? please log in to view this image
If the rumours are to believed you can forget Liverpool signing De Paul, or anyone else for that matter, unless they sell big first. Lamela seems very hit and miss, would probably do better in an attacking minded team though. Is Campbell his agent? the club will know what it will take to keep Paddy. If we could find someone who can contribute the effort Paddy puts in but ups the goal tally would cost a lot more than £40m.
Agents are the bane of footy to much influence in procurement. Lamela as you say to hit and miss and surely el loco knows all about him to know whether he would be a good fit, he hasn't been mentioned on any rumour mill
There are times when I think Eric Lamela is a genius and some I think hes pants. Pochetino loves him and Lo Celso, but Jose dont think either of them are first choice starters. Lamela is an Argentine International and played for River Plate before going Roma and playing over a hundred games. Plays wing or AM and can be very creative. Would like either of these players
If he’s going into the last year of his contract there’s no way we’d get 40 million for him (not sure we would if he wasn’t tbh). I also think whoever came up with this “wages or he’s off” underestimates Bamford. He’s been moved around clubs, not getting his chance in the premier league and now has a manager who has total faith in him. Lastly, where is he going to go that’s any better than here? Let’s face it, top six aren’t going to buy him, so who?
So Dan Walker is to leave Football Focus, GOOD.hardly worth watching these days as it turns into PC Woke Focus. shall we guess what gender and what colour the new presenter will be. Will it be a gay ex player or woman with a dick
Keep bamford and sign a striker. At 10 bamford would be a much better upgrade on Roberts. We need a bigger squad next season or we will fail to improve. Right back and left back plus midfielder /goalie and striker.

Doc, there nothing new in that whatsoever, just a bunch of snippets from the past, like picking up rubbish, light sockets in the right place in the rest rooms etc. Written by Guilleme Balaguer, the self professed expert on english footy, for DAZN who have the rights to the premier league here in Spain.
