It's no surprise. Their downward trajectory has been written in the data from very early on. Same with Reading.
Not sure about your Reading analysis. After a strong start they have been 4th to 6th for most of the season.
I agree re Swansea’s troubles. I don’t really have anything against either Watford or Bournemouth, but my god it would be boring if they both went up with us. And not really very good for either league.
I'm rooting for Barnsley to go up . Maybe Watford are good but whenever I have watched them they play horrible physical football winning by a single goal from a deflection penalty or OG. They know how to defend but other than that horrible to watch , much like Swansea .
I think Watford will get the other auto slot. I’d like to see Barnsley or Brentford take the play-off position with my preference being Barnsley.
Yeah I like Barnsley and it would be good for the league to have a club who has achieved what they have getting promoted. Sadly, I cannot see beyond Watford getting promoted - as OCF says. They’ve opened up a healthy cushion, but they do have four crunch matches left, against Swansea and Brentford but also Reading and us.
Yesterday they were 3 points behind us with a better GD at 1-0. A win tonight will put us 8 ahead of them again . Let's not get carried away just yet , we are almost guaranteed top 2 but to not win it now would be criminal ..
We are as good as up , I'm talking about winning the League. If you need a Boris Covid-19 vaccine passport to watch live football then I won't be going to Carrow road again
I'm happy with our position but I'm also old fashioned enough to think that we're not promoted until it's a mathematical certainty and the same for finishing top.
They really need the win, Bournemouth are a point behind with a game in hand. Reading losing would probably cost them a play-off spot, at least until Swansea complete their freefall from the top 6.
