seriously bro...I’d rather carry on destroying the planet(too late anyway), than go through that ****e
Tesla’s are great to drive. They just look a bit ****. The best electric cars are the ones that don’t look like electric cars. Just blend in ffs.
Tbf almost every BMW now looks like absolute ****e. The direction they've gone with their design philosophy for the latest revamp to their line is horrendous. They've ruined the kidney grills, made some of them grotesquely big, like obvious 'roids swoll big, and destroyed the nice sporty but classy lines that most of their cars used to have. I've got a Beemer and I have been window shopping for new wheels, but I just wouldn't buy a new car from them now due to how they look. It's a shame because for me they still offer the best ride and drive feel out of all the manufacturers in their tier (if you like that, that is)
I'd drive it if someone gave it to me. But first drive would be into the bin. Then I'd get the bin on the recovery truck to the nearest dealers to sell it back to them so i can buy something else.
Looking to change mine too, but won't be buying new new, it'll be one with the older grille. They haven't done it to the 5 series yet anyway but I'm sure it's on the way. I do like the new 1 series though. It's not improved the look of the rest at all, agree.
Yeah I think the 1 is the only acceptable car they have now you're right, I remember looking at it thinking the same. Just get a lightly driven model from the last generation with the normal grilles and you'll be good. Better that way as you avoid the inevitable huge drive away loss from new.
BMWs and Mercs where something that where out of reach for most people 20+ years ago Now its likevowning a Fiesta or a corsa .
A result of market saturation over the years and more modern build quality and tech making many more cars available pre-owned and able to be driven further and for longer, as well as them expanding their lines. Depends which way you go of course, if you want one from new then anything decent is still going to hurt but the more accessible models are there too. Used you can get anything really, even an M car or an AMG at decent prices. Brand dilution though where they're trying to cover all bases and cater to the widest possible segment of customers. The cars have suffered as a result. I've had a few BMWs and the drive has changed noticeably from the first one I ever had. Not to mention the engines, but there's good in that as well as bad.
I like all the new shape BMW’s. Mercedes and Audi are awful right now imo. Especially that ****boy C220d Coupe, the biggest pile of dogshit crawling the streets.
Fair enough. Out of the three I prefer Merc right now looks wise, but I get what you're saying. Audi I've always been on the fence about in all respects. BMW was always my go to
I'd not waiver from BMW to the other two. No chance. I don't mind the Audi so much though, reckon they're nice looking cars. I'll soon get used to the new look beamers as well. BMW are **** all like Fiesta's and Corsa by the way.
I get the point being made about exclusivity (think that's the thrust of it), but there's no comparison in any way between the cars for sure, other than they've all got four wheels and doors and that
