Watching QPR in the past, I have at times felt a nap would be more productive, but it's hard to stretch the legs out at LR! This time, I had a call from an old schoolfriend and had to say through gritted teeth, no, you're not disturbing anything...
This is what I don't get with Wednesday..... apparently they had 18 attempts on goal but only 2 on target.... we had 9 attempts on goal and 6 on target.... Maybe the 2 on target explains why they are where they are..... other than that they looked a decent side.... if they go down I'd take Bannon in a heartbeat....
Watch back the movement for Dykes' second and then watch the movement for Charlie's first goal back for us. Maybe I'm joining dots where I shouldn't but it really looked like Dykes' has taken some of what Austin does on board.
Just watched the 4th goal again.....it's a thing of beauty ...https://www.skysports.com/watch/vid...eens-park-rangers/12271603/willock-makes-it-4
To be fair I didn’t see the game, so bow gracefully to your viewing of the game Col - which is always a good guide. His speculative shot and goal certainly put the pressure in SW to push for a goal and it looks as though we did well to take advantage. Great to see us take our chances though and get a good result. So would you keep Johansen for next season if we had the option and could afford him Col? Same question for DeWijs?
I am eating a large slice of humble pie and may have to go back for seconds. 999's, I was the idiot who suggested that Rhodes could have been a good signing for us in Jan, however I did not think for one minute we would get Charlie back. Rhodes has usually done well against us which was the thought process behind the suggestion. Also, I predicted the Superhoops getting beated 3 -1 at home, after our poor performance against Forest last week. Well, you all now know I know nothing about the beautiful game.....although I have been saying we have a player in Dykes and just needed time.. I think I may yet have a second slice of pie...but will wash it down with a beer - a celebratory beer or two. Enjoy the weekend.
A great result. I listened to the match commentary whilst doing some gardening in the sunshine. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable afternoon. I cannot comment on our play, but I am very pleased that we are scoring goals - especially for Dykes! When is the next match? I will need to do some more week weeding? Have a great weekend!
Huge improvements in both Dykes and Willocks performances this season. All credit to them, Warburton and the coaches, Austin too. Same could be said of Dickie and Wallace
Am I right in saying that Dykes two goals were his firsts from open play at the KPFS? One at each end if so, nice.
