Three divisions rescheduling matches because a 99-year-old croaked. Business as usual on Normal Island.

On the other hand maybe it's to allow people to watch the funeral and still buy their Ifollow passes...

I just think it's excessive. Lots of people died this year. The old boy's not even having a state funeral and he said himself he wouldn't want people to make a fuss. Rescheduling sports fixtures is making a fuss.

Around a third of the population of the U.K. are expected to watch the funeral, it’s a perfectly reasonable decision and as nobody is able to attend games, it makes **** all difference to anyone.

I thought it was a private funeral with no fuss. You can tell he was a cricket fan. Who arranges their funeral for kick off time on Saturday.

If memory serves me right Churchill's state funeral took place on a Saturday morning and football still went ahead. City played Brizzle rovers at BP at 3pm ko, which happened to be me first ever City game.

Tidied up, if you can’t keep your politics out of the conversation, you’ll be removed.

Assuming that you are living in the UK, due to no skill on your part you are wealthier than 90% of people on this planet, so presumably you donate a massive part of your wealth to the poorer countries. If not, you're a hypocrite.

The old people on here will remember the Princess of Wales' funeral. They held that on a Saturday. Our match at Chester was played on the Friday night instead. I went. The programme had a completely black front cover.
