That was an absolute disgrace. Ralph needs to let them know that FA cup semi final places are on the line. Another 45 like that and you hardly deserve to start next week.
It only takes a few % less in commitment and you get found out in the PL, especially against a Fat Sam team fighting for their lives. Now we are stuck, do we fight like hell to save the result or carry on the same way in the second half.
How have I only just noticed this? I thought it was number 5 who scored, which is why I thought it was such a tight decision. The guy in the middle was clearly onside, no tight about it.
Apparently they couldn't draw a line for the scorer's arm and so they couln't definitively prove he was onside and overturn the onfield decision. It's a technical deficiency in VAR which is a bit of a lottery.
A reaction is kind of vague. I am expecting a few players to belch, scratch their arses and then amble sheepishly back on to the pitch. Not the most helpful reaction, but a reaction nonetheless.
They didn't check the wrong person, they couldn't make a conclusive decision on the angles they had. The lino gave it offside on the pitch, so you have to go with the original decision.
Very poor first half. Southampton 0 WBA £2.67 Edit, sorry that was my barcode scanner come up for west brom
They could have just used their eyes. It's also a bit inconsistent, and implies they can normally always get a definitive answer which isn't true.
I’m worried about Kyle - he just doesn’t look fit ..... we’re getting murdered down our right hand side .....
Is it only me who’s frustrated by Sky’s dreadful coverage? Why replay the disallowed goal so many times and then miss the current action? And don’t get me started about the snide comments. Glad I don’t subscribe!
Without VAR though, it would still have been given as offside. And we'd be having a convo about needing technology...
