People are weird. There was a queue outside the Oxfam bookshop in Muswell Hill, some people just can't wait to spend money even if they haven't got any.

I've hardly bought anything other than necessities in the last year, and have found it quite liberating.

Running out of pants and socks now though, tbf. Might have to go to Primark soon.

Clots more common in younger folk who don’t need vaccinated en masse.

Johnson says vaccines made little difference to the deaths and hospitalisations, it was Lockdown that did it.. paving the way for the next lockdown.

So if vaccines made little difference then what’s the point in vaccinating every one?

@Toby to Starmer and corroborate Tory lies.

It's ransomware, you want your freedom then take the killshot .

There is an active trade in searching out charity shops in more well to do areas for designer label clobber. Shops like Oxfam have got savvy and when they spot designer stuff they know to send it to their high end shops to get more for them.

Did I hear right that Primark wanted to stay open until 10pm because the demand was so high? I honestly believe that if you tied a picture of a half starved Bangladeshi child to a pair of trackie bottoms and said little Meera got paid 2p to make them it wouldn't put off anyone from buying them. Primark has reached almost cult-like status over here, it's bonkers.

When I was a teenager I often bought clothes from charity shops. In those faraway days it was well worth a trip to places like Highgate, or Hampstead where I once bought a beautifully made, barely worn blue serge overcoat for 50p.

Nowadays they all know the market, and the good stuff gets priced up accordingly.

A cynical person may say that the staff skim off all the decent/expensive gear before putting out the rest on the racks
