It's also more time than they gave to scrutinising the Brexit bill. Great to see them prioritising this as cover for their corruption. I mean... er, BEING PATRIOTIC AND PROUD OF BRITAIN and that.
I don't think that most of the population give much of a crap, to be honest. Even those that care about the Royal Family aren't losing much sleep about the death of a 99-year-old consort, for the most part. Whatever your opinion on Prince Philip, it's not much of a shock.
I'm planning a month-long holiday when that happens - partly due to the nauseating coverage it will get, and partly as I might get plenty of free drinks Also, since I'm here, who heard the crap Nicolas Witchell came up over the weekend? Namely how the BBC's saturation coverage proves that the population support a constitutional monarchy...even though, at one point, Gogglebox had more viewers than BBC One, BBC Two, BBC News 24 and BBC Parliament combined, which suggests that the British people actually support watching something on telly other than Prince Phillip
Seems like the American police are trying to wipe out the black folk. Tried to take out another today......he's a serving soldier too!!!!!
Clearly there are a number of people on here that don't give a **** about Prince Philip. You are entitled to your opinion. What I don't agree with is how some seem to despise those that do. I don't single you out particularly, I've just responded to your post. The question is whether people that disagree with an opinion are allowed to have that different opinion without derisory comment. Postings on this thread often seem to suggest they are not.
Have you heard the ****e coming out of the George Floyd trial? Here's two highlights 1.) The officer who knelt on his neck for nine minutes offering the defence of how he would have got up, but the crowd telling him to get up made him kneel there for longer. That's right, he's using the "Look what you made me do" defence that wifebeaters are so fond of 2.) Trying to claim that Floyd didn't die from having somebody kneeling on his neck for nine minutes, but because he was overdosing on fentanyl while just so happening to have his neck under a police officer's knee for nine ****ing minutes Anyone fancy burning Mar A Lago to the ground?
Of course people can disagree. Other people are free to disagree with that disagreement, though. I didn't mean that most people don't give a **** about Prince Philip exactly, more that they're not particularly fussed about him dying now. He was obviously ill for some time and he was nearly a century old. It's a dog bites man story. If City win the title this season from this point, then it's not going to be much of a shock. The same applies to a man of his age passing away. The BBC coverage was seen to be excessive for many reasons, but that's definitely one of the main ones.
I always suspected Phillip was a nasty piece of work in the background.......and didn't his uncle fix Charles up with Camila (poor bugger!)
All those people saying Prince Phillip can't be replaced are ignoring that we certainly someone we pretend their racism is a charming personality trait
