I think his systems are potentially very good My argument is that the players aren’t good enough to cope with constant change in personnel Really good players can but with limited players you at least need the basis of a settled core of the team We don’t have that So when things go wrong we’ve got nothing to fall back on and regroup players haven’t been given the chance to build up partnerships and understandings

Seems this 60m championship budget business has effected the players.

That's kind of what I'm saying. The changes he makes need to be natural extensions of what they players are used to doing.

But surely you can say that about every team that gets beat?

As most will say, I’m one of the most “rose tinted” fans going. But tonight’s game has me flummoxed and properly feeling depressed about it. Before the game I thought we could afford to draw one if we win the rest. Now we need to win them all and hope fir a slip up. And we just don’t look capable any more

I think if LJ had been here from pre season things would be different. Looks to me like he’s trying to push things probably quicker than he’s like but some of the players just aren’t up to it. Saturday will be interesting Think it’s essential to stop the rot If it is to be the playoffs I’d put my money on LJ turning it round and going into the playoffs on the up

Not necessarily. Some Parkinson stuff cost us games. I can’t blame a manager for players stopping doing simple things. They simply couldn’t pass to each other. Can’t blame a manager fir that.

I know if I was a player and I’d played in league 1 all my life I would be thinking I’m getting the boot in 6 games time somehow my brain would not be bouncing with joy as the games ticked away.

I think one of the biggest mistakes anyone could make in this league is to look at the table.

Your lot need to do their homework before they go into each game, after seeing Wigan totally demolish Doncaster on Saturday, it was obvious tonight was going to be a very difficult challenge for Sunderland. You also met Charlton at a time of change in form.

Your next game is Blackpool, they tore my lot a new arsehole just over a week ago, when we had been on top of our game, they also got a draw at Lincoln. Albeit they drew tonight after Accrington missed a pen.

You will need to play every game now like it's a cup final, failure to do so will be costly.

Must work both ways though. If the same player isnt good enough to get us promoted he'll be gone anyway.

Depends how you get beat. Rollover and tickle my belly at corners wasn't in the game plan. Only positive is he'll have learnt an awful lot / cemented his ideas about this squad in the last 2 weeks.

But even Sanderson and Jones form have dropped. Both players who’d fancy their chances of being here I think.

On the Posh showed teams exactly how to deal with Jones. Just kick him for 45 minutes and he vanishes! Particularly when players get zero punishment for it

I would have taken Wright and Scowen off.
Shifted 09 to cb, Power to RB, shifted Denver to Scowen's slot and brought Fadzean on at LB.
Then brought Gooch on at RM where Power had been and swap Geads out left and Diamond behind Wyke (with a view to bringing AOB on for Diamond if that wasn't working out).

See if I was that same player, I’d want to show I’m capable and try harder. Different mindsets I suppose. But surely they’re guaranteed a nice cash bonus fir promotion? I don’t know! Just know that I’m pretty gutted tonight. Much more than in previous seasons

Nobody who lose 6 points to Wigan should go up automatically. But we still might!
