Are we allowed to call it corruption yet?

Why would anyone be against investigating corruption, I wonder?
Especially a bloke that paid off his back-up mistress with public funds.

Remember how the Tories edited a report so it said racism doesn't exist in this country?

The ones that the American police use are pretty similar if you're just going by feel, Smithy.
They're both pistol shaped, plasticky and deployed by pulling the trigger, which suggests that their should be more of a difference made to them.
Still a ****ing stupid mistake, of course, but you don't want that risk factor to be there when they use the things so damn often.

We found my wife (an ex US Navy sailor) had 4 guns tucked away. Golly,I used to argue with her!!!!!! But if someone broke into your house, chances are hidden pistols wouldn't help a bit......and she also had a permit to carry a concealed weapon. As she passed away in February,I got rid of those bloody things as quick as I could!

The thing is there's one obvious difference in how they feel: one feels like pressed steel, the other feels like plastic

I get the feeling that she's being hung out to dry because her defence ****s up the defence that numerous coppers have used over the years claiming to have mistaken a table leg, pair of glasses, wallet, iPhone etc etc for a gun

The frame and grip of a Glock (which is probably what was used, but correct me if I'm wrong) is a nylon-based polymer. It's plastic.
The slide, barrel, etc. are metal, but there's no reason for the officer to have touched any of them.

There's one thing that she absolutely had to touch: Glock triggers have a small lever as part of them that needs to be depressed when pulling the trigger otherwise it doesn't discharge which tasers obviously don't have, so the second she put her finger on the trigger she would have felt the lever and known she didn't have her taser

Just so people know what I'm talking about, this is what a Glock's trigger guard looks like

There's also the fact an unloaded Glock 17 weighs three times what a standard issue taser does, and a loaded one would be closer to four

The weight should have been a real giveaway, but the trigger safety is very light and I can see that being missed.
Having watched the video, I genuinely think that she made a mistake, albeit a rather stupid one:

You can see the taser of the other officer on the left-hand side of his belt, but it's also holstered to be drawn with the right hand.
Perhaps training people to shoot them with their left and draw from that side would help?

Another day, another Tory corruption scandal. Well, I say scandal, but that would require people to actually care.
