Bournemouth seem to be finding form at just the right time - I can very much see us going back up with each of the relegated clubs now.

Gruelling schedule coming up, away to Huddersfield Tuesday, at Carrow Road Saturday, away to Millwall Wednesday, then home to Brentford the following weekend.

Looks like we only need a point from our last 5 games and Bournemouth would need to win all 6

The only remaining question as far as I'm concerned is whether we can beat Watford and Bournemouth. They are the nearest this league has to offer to the type of opposition we are going to face next season. How those two games pan out will be a pointer.

Surely you mean Brentford, Dunc - there's no way Bournemouth could catch us. Even if Brentford were to win all 6 games, we would have to lose all 5 of ours for them to catch us. Not very likely.

Sorry that wasn’t meant to be quite so cryptic!

The Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral is at 3pm, so they had to change all match times.

Probably a bit. I like the DofE, but (I appreciate this might be controversial) I have been horrified by the total takeover of our news by his death. It’s totally unmerited. He deserves coverage, of course, and credit for the good things he undoubtedly worked hard on. But he’s still just an old bloke married to an elderly lady, who by accident of birth got a lot of benefits others haven’t. I’m deeply suspicious of the chest-thumping angle the media are taking, their complete hatred for Harry and Meghan which means I can’t help feeling we aren’t getting both sides of the story (not that I want to hear a word more tbh), and their pusillanimous support for the current Government which means hardly any serious opposition is being mounted despite rampant corruption and bad management, etc. And so I’m just bored of it.

(Rant over - sorry, hopefully doesn’t turn this thread the wrong way... move it to the politics thread if it does!)

Luton is the most interesting for me as it has the potential to open up the second automatic promotion spot.

Ditto I'm hoping Watford slip up.

For my own sanity I don't watch any television or read newspapers it's all psychological warfare against us .

CNN were recently caught admitting that they are there as fear porn and routinely lie to the public to generate clicks views or push their political agenda.

99 is very old I don't care how much coverage he gets, ALL politicians are dishonest self serving bastards there's no point picking a side and pretending the other is honest .

At this stage I don't think politicians are in charge of anything they are being controlled by mega rich evil megalomaniacs here and in America.

I'm not going to vote again anytime soon I have a total disconnect with politicians and the BBC Sky Channel 4 ITV Fox CNN it's all designed to keep us afraid .

It's quite liberating to simply switch off end never go back .

The top two games could have an element of local derby about them and thus be competitive. I'd go for Luton v Watford.
Totally agree with that Rob, especially the ott coverage of the Duke's death and funeral (over 100,000 people have complained to the BBC about it). I think the Royal family has an important part to play, but they have gone down in my esteem because of the treatment of Harry and Meghan, especially the courtesan's racist comments about how dark the child might be. There's too much about 'the sun never setting on the British Empire' nostalgia for me. The Duke's comments about 'slitty eyed' orientals and 'bongo bongo land' should also not be brushed under the carpet in the current adulation.

I have no interest in the BBC coverage or funeral and I have no interest in millionaire celebrity Oprah interviews either.

It's probably a good idea to move your opinions to a different thread and not ruin this one as there will be some posters that don't want to discuss the Duke or Harry .

You are both complaining that you can't get away from the Royal funeral and you are sick of it but ironically you both contaminated this thread with the same topic...

    Back on topic

So a Luton win would be good
