Gets worse the more you read about it ... silly boys ... and as for Big Wes <doh>

Realistically West Ham was always going to be a tough game and we might have lost it with a full squad to pick from ... but we were awful down the right hand side, Amartey was beaten again and again ... and Vardy is having a bit of a mare ... no impact at all yesterday ...

Hopefully those that have let the club down will be driven to make amends now <cheers>

If Wes was involved he shouldn’t keep the club captaincy or have a role as an exec in the club hierarchy. The captain thing may be pointless if this is his last season and we are close to the end.
I’m struggling most with Barnes as I think he’s such a good player and key for us. The rest I think are very replaceable.

Maddison is unquestionably a talent John, and not easily replaceable ... unfortunately they have been silly little boys ... apart from Wes ... now that is really disappointing... unless there is more to the story

Maddison is a very good player but do I think our scouting team could replace him for a lot less? Yep I do. He misses an awful lot of football with these injuries so I just think overall there’s probably better players, for us, out there. Barnes I don’t think that at all, I think he’s irreplaceable as far as we are concerned.
It’s just left me with complete indifference to the remainder of the season and I can’t be the only one. With this and the other results, this weekend was such a damaging one for us....

All about opinions John ... but complete mavericks like Maddison are few and far between ... we missed his creativity and unpredictability terribly yesterday ...

I reckon Soyuncu and JJ are bigger misses. Those games against the Utd’s of Manchester and Sheffield were two of our best performances but nothing against Amartey, but the back 3 of Fof, Evans and Soyuncu looked so much stronger. Castagne also doesn’t look great on the left (he looked better on the right) so with those changes at the back and Nacho up top with Vardy I think we look really strong. If I had to choose Harvey or Maddison behind the strikers I’d go Barnes as I love his directness. You could probably pick either Buendia or Cantwell from Maddison’s former club itself and fill the gap nicely. Don’t think you’ll agree though <cheers>

Certainly not with Cantwell ... more like Grealish ... and not just in looks ... close control nowhere close to Maddison.

Have any of them acknowledged that what they did was stupid?

Think Cantwell is a bit lightweight at the moment but a good player. Slightly different position but if Watford dont go up everyone will be after Sarr. Appreciate money is tight but we really missed a chance with Bowen, him on one side and Barnes on the other would have been awesome. Lets hope we now have some massively motivated players for the semi. Our togetherness is often quoted so i certainly hope things within the dressing room are Ok. Apologies for the ramble.

Southampton played like a bad Sunday pub team last night, ready to turn prime Barcelona on Sunday....

Hopefully our idiots have received an appropriate rebuke from their team mates. I'm expecting Kasper was at the front of the queue and all are fully focused by the weekend.

Cantwell may not be the best example but definitely Buendia. I was just picking Norwich as an example. Agree on Bowen, he has done better than I thought.
I think I wasn’t clear on my point re Maddison. I think he’s a very good player but given our record of selling big each summer, if you said to me, just about our midfielders, who would you be least devastated to see leave out of Maddison, Barnes, Ndidi and Tielemans, I would say Maddison and not as a reaction to this news, just because I genuinely think with money in the bank, he would be the easiest to replace. It took us 3 attempts to get close to Kante with Ndidi, I think Tielemans could walk into any side and Barnes we don’t have a good record of buying wingers so we would really struggle to replace.
Hopefully that is more clear and shows it wasn’t a case of slating or putting Maddison down @FosseFilberto

Exactly like that. Or silent, disappointed and intimidating staring. Can't decide which would be worse but I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of either!

Great result for us last night with Everton/Spurs drawing.

Now for Newcastle to do us a massive favour today. Please get at least a point!!!

And such a shame that Harry had to limp off.

In all honesty I can't see Everton or Spurs troubling the top four. I'm wondering how tomorrow's result will affect the rest of our season. Will a win result in players 'saving themselves' for a cup final or encourage them to play well to make sure they get in the team? And will a loss focus their minds on the league to rescue the season or demoralise them? We'll see how strong they really are mentally in the next few weeks. Just wish we had a match winner like Barnes available now.

Is that 10 goals in 4 games conceded by West Ham? It’s not sustainable for them conceding that many, 2/3 per game. Lingard limped off top, hopefully nothing serious but out for a few games as he has been key for them. They seem to have done well with injuries until this last week or so so they were due.

Chelsea and Liverpool are the teams that concern me. Liverpools run in is relatively easy and Chelsea seem to have clicked now under Tuchel. We really need 10 points from these next four league games to give ourselves the best chance of finishing top 4.

Another historic day under King Power ownership ... it could happen you know... I'm predicting Vardy to rediscover his shooting boots in the final <cheers>
