Our third game against Charlton this season....beat them there in the FA Cup...drew there in the league.....problem is they're quite good away from home....so I'll settle for a draw right now.....family bragging right at stake here.

Pleased with that. Don't rate either Opoku or Lewis.

I think I saw Law get 10 minutes last season? If so, I liked what I saw. All action.

Woods deserves a game and from what little I have seen of him, he's better than Opoku.

Ennis will surely get the last 20 minutes. Competition for places is no bad thing.

    0-2...H/T.....Forster-Caskey...26mins.....Stockley...45mins.

Some good play by Argyle....plenty of corners but no joy.

Aimson off....and no sub available....although Aimson spent awhile being treated and went back on to no avail.....and then Moore comes on....not sure if Lowe knows what he;s doing.

Charlton now in control and it will be hard for Argyle to get back in....if we have an Argyle crap half coming up the scoring might get worse.

He went 4 at the back Plym. Two CBs, two full backs. The fabled Plan B.

At half time I thought we were hard done by but now it's gone completely pair shaped. Heads are so far down they're getting grass stained. To top it all, Rochdale have beaten Blackpool. How in God's name can that happen?

It's not Lowe's fault. The fact of the matter is that we have very poor defenders. Watts, Lewis and Opoku are fragile and too error prone. On today's showing, Woods doesn't look much better. Cooper is promising but inexperienced and he doesn't deserve to have to play behind them.

Lowe is stuck with what he's got and it's not good enough back there.

This isn't the 20th Century. Lowe doesn't make the signings all on his own and we need to raise our sights in recruiting defenders next season.

There's clearly a big morale problem there now but that comes from a string of stupid defensive mistakes and the bad results they've produced.

MotM for me Ryan Law. First League start I think and he didn't do much wrong, apart from perhaps going walkabout fir the 6th goal, not that that really matters.

    0-6...F/T

    Forster-Caskey...26mins
    Stockley...45mins
    Watts o/g...47mins
    Gilbey...49mins
    Millar...56mins
    Aneke...89mins.

Watts unlucky with own goal.....but after that capitulation at the back....Charlton with players to spare to score....no sign of defenders marking them.

We wouldn't have score in a month of Sundays.

Lowe has no idea how to train a defence.....he has shown us that he has used all his luck up in his first two seasons of being a manager.

That was so embarrassing....how will I ever be able to hold my head up again with my son and grandson (Charlton season ticket holders).

Ryan Law did well for his first start.....shame about his team mates.

    Oxford away Saturday.

With the exception of Aimson, who's actually been pretty solid recently despite a string of knocks, our out-and-out defenders are all at Premier League clubs. If they need to be taught the basics, God help us.

It's not Lowe it's the recruitment process that failed. Purses and pig's ears.

I am not going to even try to defend either the players or Lowe. That was a complete embarrassment and I'm a bit green tinted. We started tonight with a 10 goal advantage over Northampton. We now have one. I refuse to believe we are going to go to the wire.

Equal worst home defeat so we're being told.

It isn't as if Charlton where spectacularly brilliant....they just went about there job efficiently.....there were times when you couldn't understand where our defenders had gone Charlton players were queuing up at the far post at times to pop it in.

I think we need to know what sort of coaching they get between matches....I assume the coaching staff turn up.

What I'm saying is the players are not the worst players in the league....but you wonder if the coaches are unable to teach the basic skills of the game.

Blaming the players is easy.....Lowe is showing that he is a rookie manager at this level.

I can't believe we're looking over our shoulder hoping Rochdale will lose three points more before the season ends....more chance of that happening than Argyle winning three points that is becoming obvious....we've been here before......<doh>.

The unpalatable truth is that I think we'd be better off with Wootton and certainly with Canavan. We failed to make clear chances but it was their men against our boys at the back. A long, long way short of what's required.

While we're on that subject, let's not forget there was hardly a single fan who wasn't overjoyed when those two left. It shows how little we know.

We were only 1-0 down when Aimson went off injured....his injury was spread over five minutes....yet even then we had no substitute ready to come on....Opoku had been warming up so the commentator said.....yet we play on with only ten men.

Then we see why....Lowe isn't bringing on a defender at all.....he brings on Byron Moore.....throws the defence up in the air and turns Edwards....one of the smallest men on the pitch into a full back.....(Moore isn't Lowe's love child...by any chance ?)....what is it with Lowe and Moore.....always guaranteed some playing time every game.....he has nothing to offer the team ever.....some of the other fringe players and youngsters knocking on the door of selection...must become very despondent with what is happening.

Between Aimson going off and the 56th minute...we concede FOUR more goals (in 12mins actually)....had this defensive set-up ever been introduced to each other in training let along in match conditions.....Charlton are not known for prolific goal scoring....but given such a chance as this you would have thought that Messi and Ronaldo had suddenly been signed by Charlton.

Charlton's top scorer Aneke only came on at the end (and scored)...and Washington their other top scorer wasn't even in the squad....both had been recovering from injuries......<doh>.

I think Luke Jephcott's season should be wound up now....before the scars of failure get too deep.....seventeen games now without a goal.....Lowe was snatching at straws last night starting him....he had scored three goals in the earlier games against Charlton.....one in the FA Cup and two there in the league.....hoping that he could do it again....no chance.

Because he chose not to bring on Opoku and went instead from a back 3 of Aimson, Woods and Watts to a back 4 of Edwards, Woods, Watts and Law. Joe Edwards has mostly been playing WB but the roles are different only in emphasis and he's Mr. Dependable. Put him at centre forward and he'd put in a shift.

Not so long ago fans were complaining there wasn't a Plan B, now they complain when Lowe changes the shape when things aren't going well.

I've watched Byron Moore since he was recruited from Bury in 2019. He's a decent player, versatile at wing back or up front, left or right, always works hard and has a lot of pace. Maybe he's not in the first 11 but he's useful off the bench.

Can we stop this scattergun defamation of everyone at the club. We have a problem, it's the back 3, it's been leaking stupid goals all season. We've lost games as a result of it. Indeed we threw away the 2 points at Burton that would have made us safe that way only on Saturday. Morale and belief are now clearly destroyed and this sort of bullshit doesn't help.

Most of Ryan Lowe's acquisitions came over as good players when they arrived.....what you see now is what Lowe has turned them into....and all he can do now is to rubbish them....I hope Hallett can see that....if not then the same might happen again next season.

It's all over pasoti the same notdistant. I know that actually paying money and watching the games is better under Lowe by a million miles than his predecessor. Ok last night was diabolical and there have been other games the same. Anyone watching last night would have seen the same as I did surely. We created so many attempts and did not get one bounce of the ball in front of goal. Good defending by Charlton of course but on another day we would and could have scored at least three. They could have fallen over the Ref and it would still have gone in. The third goal was a joke. It was so crazy nobody could have done it again in a thousand attempts. You could visibly see the heads drop at that point. That is the criticism as a supporter right there. I don't care if they are young or not. Giving up is not an option. At 17 years old I was 3000 miles from home in a war zone. They need to grow a pair. Lowe was right in his criticism although not right in my view to put it out there in public. That's where his man management skills fall over a tad. They are not bad players and they haven't been turned into bad players. What they lack is leadership on the field. That point has been made all season by the viewers and it really isn't difficult to see. Lowe and Co. should have seen that themselves easily and he should have done something about it in January. That's his fault. So they are all to blame to a degree but all this crap being spouted by the experts is just way over the top. I still do not think we will be anywhere near relegation. Even if we don't win another game this season.

Watching as i do from afar, iCloud has done wonders for my viewing.
Since Lowe came aboard, Argyle have improved a lot, the way they play now is far better than before.
If i lived in Plymouth i would be there at Home Park cheering and no doubt moaning.
i believe Mr Lowe has done the best he can within the budget.

Hear hear BC. It's about time a few supporters or those that purport to be supporters grew a pair themselves and stopped dripping every 5 minutes. If they have been supporter for any length of time they will know all about the ups and downs of following the green path. If Argyle play rubbish then it's fine to say they did. If a manager fails in a game to plan or have a plan at all then fair enough to say so. Sack the world because they don't have any toys left to throw out of their pram is not that manly is it. It's funny how they all expect leadership on the field and in the boardroom yet are like a load of sheep following the flock because that's the current flavour. Have a moan because that's the football supporters way and then back the team for the next game at least. It's a bit difficult to fault players for letting their heads drop when the supporters are telling them they are going to lose before a ball is kicked.
