Not really. Just a silly way in stating that there would have been a small army, of all races, mobilising, ready to cause millions of dollars worth of mayhem. Fortunately the verdict allowed them to stand down. Even if it was found that the knee to the neck was not a direct cause of death, or if it triggered an underlying health condition, he would have still been found guilty. Luckily someone was pretty nifty in getting their phone out and filming the evidence, otherwise the copper would have getting away with murder.

Only if it had never been filmed no one would even know about it, and it’d have just been chalked up as yet another US cop kills black man stat.

The entire reason this case caused so much direct action, was that it provided indisputable evidence of what many have been protesting about for years. Had he not been found guilty in the face of him being literally filmed killing him, then no **** it’d have kicked off on the streets. You can try and dress that up as preemptive guilt if you wish, but seeing him kneeling on the man’s neck for 9 minutes whilst the man pleaded that he couldn’t breathe was enough for most like.

The spineless ****e didn’t even have the courage to take the stand. May he rot in hell,

It wasn't murder mate. It was a pre-emptive guilty verdict to prevent the riots <laugh>

So I'm guessing if a cop's not a redneck dressed in a KKK outfit with a burning cross shouting death to n****rs, whilst strangling the **** out of a black guy, we can't class it as racist <laugh>

I thought that guy that stood as a defence witness looked a prime KKK candidate, what a fooking muppet he was. Although they trashed the wrong house after his evidence. I can't believe the defence even let that guy stand for them.

It does make a difference though, because as a racist act it goes to the heart of a wider systemic problem in a raft of institutions in America which need addressing.

The irony is I kinda agree, it will make no difference because those who think this is the beginning of change in U..S. are pissing in the wind unfortunately. Maybe I'm just a cynic or a realist but after the expected media hyperbole, this will all be yesterday's chip paper... until the next time it happens.

The only hope is that this Presidency which controls both the senate and congress actually effects that change. We'll see.

First thing is to change is the gun laws

If everyone isn't armed then the police would no longer need to shoot when arresting someone for a minor offence

The Police are actually taught to shoot to kill if there is a chance of danger however remote to themselves or any other people

The shooting training is to hit a football sized area in the middle of the chest so they hit the heart or lungs with at least one round or more if required

Shooting someone who is armed in the shoulder or leg is purely for cowboy westerns and hesitating for a split second could result in the death of you or your partner

I watched a programme on it and it was both fascinating and terrifying at the same time

    double tap...just make sure..

a gun is easy, bit to press against someone neck for 9 minute, shows a whole new level...

be them black, white or whatever, that is a lot off thinking time.

The one who said the force used was reasonable?.

His house was smeared in pugs blood the other week, and a pigs head left at the door. <laugh>

The target area is the same for the same reason

The difference is how it feels in the hand, but then we can all work that one out without any training

I was trained to use and shoot a 303 Lee Enfield rifle in the Sea Cadets

The only time that was used when a bunch of yobs decided to try and take the rifles from me and a mate on our way home

When we fixed bayonets and presented they **** their pants and run home to their mums
