I watched some of match of the day tonight, first time I've took notice of the premier League since we dropped out.
Txt my best mate, a Wolves fan to take the pìss, but admitted. After watching villa v wba I realised we are fooking miles away.
Mind so is the rest of this league.
If I compare us to the rest of this league though we well deserve 3rd at least.
    We'll get there.

"Lies, damned lies, and statistics" is a phrase describing the persuasive power of numbers, particularly the use of statistics to bolster weak arguments. It is also sometimes colloquially used to doubt statistics used to prove an opponent's point. I'll say no more.

We might be crap, but we still have a chance of getting promoted.
    I still believe.

    Bristol are crap.
    We we're mediocre'ish under Parky.
    Improved under Johnson.
    Got pretty darn good.
Tailed a bit, ground some results.
Been a bit iffy lately but with players coming back hopefully we hit our best come the play offs.

Although I am worried that my prediction when LJ first arrived of up via playoffs is now under threat due to complete lack of form, I also think it would be a shocking outcome if Sunderland fans drive out Johnson if we don't go up.

Its been a difficult season. Parkinson couldn't get the team on a run and I said repeatedly that the Parkinson draws versus crap teams would always make automatic statistically improbable for Johnson.

Johnson walked into some big injuries and a covid outbreak and took a while therefore to get started himself. The fact he even got us on a run for contention for automatic was certainly above my expectations.

He has messed about too much with the team and formation but he said during the week that it's 433 next season either way and players will be recruited to that. I'm encouraged by that.

We really need to start building something, to influence the club to sack the manager after 5 months would be beyond laughable in the circumstances.
I absolutely despair at how much power social media has these days. I hope KLD is not as knee jerking as some of our fans.

The only thing I'd pick out there is he had to mess with the team formation and players due to injuries.

I did similar a few weeks ago. Watching those Premier League games its like watching a different game, on a different planet, compared to L1.

Aye, madness to talk about moving him on at this stage. Especially when there's little to no chance of recruiting anyone who's enough of an upgrade to justify it. I'd rather have a positively minded average manager than a negatively minded average manager.

There should be no buggering about next season mind - if we're not already planning for the Championship this time next year he should be on his way. With the new owner we should be in the best position to get promoted than we ever have been.

I criticise LJ admittedly, mostly to do with his team selections and media persona, but think overall he has done a great job, admittedly with a big squad, but PP had just as big a squad and look where he got us, mid table obscurity with the worst football ever. I think social media is a problem but do not know how it will ever be controlled, but little harm is done here imo., its just a substitute for going to the game with a few mates little more. Good post mate I agree with every word.

Jurassic was dreadful... we could not score with him in charge.

LJ got us playing well again... however unsurprisingly with all the injuries to our defenders, Sanderson being the latest. Clean sheets are no more... that is what has caused the sihte results in the last 6 games...imho.

LJ even brought in a promising LB in, (1st game crap mind but was getting better) cos Mcfadzean is hopeless, but the poor kid got covid 19 and had a lung problem!

How many defenders have we got on the books and how many are fit to play 2, I make it, 4 or 5 are knacked!
