We really should not be scared about this tie, and be as positive as we were in the Atletico games. What we saw when they played Liverpool was that their main threat was Vinicious Jnr latching onto Kroos' balls, (sounds weird that) no pun intended. Kovacic would have been handy for this game, not sure he will be fit, if not Jorginho and Kante should be able to cope against the worldwise Kroos and Modric. Hazard is back to fitness and it would be nice to see him play just hope he has a bad one for his old employers.

Real are not the Team they used to be and have a few ageing players. Chelsea are not the Team they used to be and have a few inexperienced players.
I'd go for class if I was Audi, and I'd have Havertz and Ziyech in my starters.. Proper technically sound European players. I'd leave out Chilwell who is inconsistent despite a great game 2 weeks ago. Alonso is better going forward, better left foot, scores and assists, and he's Spanish. Not too great at defence.
Looks like Jorginho and Kante in midfield unfortunately, not a great combination by any means. Jorginho is slow of mind and body, and Kante is not great at attack and gives the ball away. Little to no attack from this pairing, but great control. James therefore needs to be told to stop passing backwards and ATTACK, run, rampage forward like he used to.
Havertz will be interesting, though he looks a shadow of the player he was for us. Just a step too far for his well documented lazy and underwhelming attitude to real greatness Not too worried about him to be honest and forget about bringing him "back ".You can't just warm up old coffee.
Like most Spanish teams ,I expect lots of rolling around holding legs, lots of our players being dragged back, and Real definitely don't "like it up em", ie getting back what they dish out. Don't take a backwards step and stick it right back to them.
They'll be baying for free kicks and penalties all game.
I wouldn't have Pulisic in my line up, I think he's soft , and the Real defenders will take the ball off him all night. Werner front left of attackers for me, though maybe not from the kick off.
My only fear is Real are so experienced they regularly con refs and get away with loads of unpunished fouls.
Very tough game, especially so soon after Hammers, but we can frighten the bejesus out of them. Would love an away goal to bring back to the Bridge game.
    Mendy
    Dave Silva Rudi
    James Jorginho Kante Alonso
    Mount Havertz Ziyech

I know this is long winded, but it seems we have loads of lookers but no one willing to make any comment. Jesus why are you on here if you have nothing to say ?????????

I think Madrid are worried about this fixture.

We’ve become a very mean team and there are plenty of seasoned pros who know exactly what game they will try to play. Can we nick a goal and take them back to the bridge? I reckon so.

Benzema seems to have been dragging them along by their boot straps, so assuming we can stop him (which I think we can) and stick Kante onto Kroos, I don’t think Madrid will have too much to bother us with.

As ever, these boys from Spain know how to win a European semi so I wouldn’t put it past them to be able to still have a few tricks up their sleeve...

We would have won that with a striker/centre forward whatever you want to call it, that miss of Werner's sum's it up for me, is the man is completely out of form or just not good enough, the latter is my guess but I hope I'm wrong. Now then about the game, very good performance all round Kante and Ruudi men of the match. Pulisic looked better and looking forward to the second half.

Only got to see 1st half when my power went out !!
Pulisic made me eat my words with a composed and slick 45 mins including a very well taken goal. Kante was everywhere, though he did lose the ball quite a bit , Rudi and the others were excellent.
How good is Benzema ??? What a goal.
Nevertheless we were better than them ( having watched a replay) and no reason why we can't repeat that showing at the Bridge.
Another masterclass by Audi, who manages to fit square pegs into round holes yet still come up trumps. Great teamwork.

I said we need to keep Benzema quiet. He’s pretty much all Real have right now.

Werner will come good. He’s getting there.

Only five players wrong this week mate ;)

I think against Real's high line TT was right to play the pace of Werner and Puli.

And Azpi and Chigwell were correct decisions over Reece and Alonso

Agree with you that Puli Needs more mental strength

Can't argue with Pulisics' play, though Chilwell still doesn't completely do it for me, poor crosses too often mixed with his good play. Dave was an eye opener too, he is such a good player and has more skill than he gets credit for. Reece has become an excellent defender though I can't help thinking he has not been as good recently going forward as he can be.Wonder if the selections are a pointer to next game?
One day I'll get Audis selections correct, but don't hold your breath !!
    Here's a team for Fulham
    Mendy
    Dave Christensen Emerson
    James Gilmour Kante Alonso
    CHO Abraham Pulisic

That's where he played previously for Audi and did really well, more left back than centre back. Dave as wing back was a bit of an eye lifter too, so I'm second guessing Audi, cause I get nowhere trying to be logical.

Here we go. The biggest game of the season so far. Back at the bridge maybe with some fans? Don’t know if they’ll be allowed in yet.

Real are there for the taking. It comes down to how badly do we want it. I’m going for a 2-0 win for us tonight.

I think we'll have to score 2 because I feel Real will definitely get 1.
As always, we will not be easy to beat, but can we / will we take the chances we create? Not with Werner as lone striker in my book.
And how will we line up?
I think absolutely no one on earth except Audi has a clue.
Nevertheless in order to give people someone to have a go at, here's my guess.

    Mendy
    Dave Silva Rudi
    James Mount Jorginho Kante Alonso
    Werner Pulisic

I think havertz has earned his shot at starting. With him as false 9 I think we can do some real damage.

Agree with you CP for once. At this level not having a top striker has its repercussions. See Werner miss in first leg
