It's becoming very difficult to see past the teams relegated from the Pl as not being there or thereabouts for promotion straight back - they have a huge financial advantage and, usually, far better infrastructures - a season or two of consolidation should be our target.
Top 6 finish, 7/2. Along with the 8/1 to be promoted, ridiculous odds. Should be 25/1 or longer for promotion and mega high to be champions as things stand. Obviously prices are marked up on the expectation of new arrivals but until that happens I'd stay well away.
Fulham, West Brom and Sheff Utd are coming down with a huge amount of cash and parachute payments. To get close to the play-offs would be a huge achievement for McCann and would need considerable investment from the Allams but I just cannot see them splashing loads of money over this window. We have momentum and confidence in the team but we need to build on it with shrewd recruitment.
yep and I said we'd lose every game this season, up until Charlton that I predicted we'd win. Clearly my fault we lost so I'll stick with doom and gloom on here you'll thank me for it!
We'll do well to finish top half of the table I reckon and build from there to establish ourselves as a championship staple again.
Naaah, when you look at the last 5-6 years, there have been a fair few team go up from L1 with more points than we managed and none of them even made the play offs the next year, i'd happily take lower mid table obscurity next season if it was on offer now
When was the last time we had a non-eventful season? It's got to be another thing to add to the tick list.
