In the end 34 for a keeper is no big deal. Milner is what he is, just a good example and a squad member. when we look at the actual first 11 however. Alisson: 28 Trent 22 Robertson 27 Gomez 23 (turning 24 on the 23rd of this month) Van Dijk 29 Fabinho 27 thiago 30 Henderson 30 jota 24 firmino 29 Salah 28 its quite a "mature squad" actually We would want to be thinking about this as they are all going to age together so jota coming in and doing well is good. Jones and the two williams add a bit of youth but there is a acase hre to be thinking hard about this refresh.
Defenders would **** themselves ..........still a very good footballer and would offer plenty. Mad as a tin of squirrels of course, but I think we could tolerate a little more of that for a year or two given the benefits
Before this season wouldnt have thought Kane would suit us at all. But his play this season, dropping deeper, playing in passes think he’d suit us really well with Salah mane/Jota either side. Saying all that, no chance of us actually signing him.
thing is, who can afford him. Levy will want his pound of flesh and the big Europeans aren’t going to bite. Leaves City, who need to replace Aguero, as the most likely destination. Utd might have a sniff too but would probably baulk at the fee....
Kane stabs spurs in the heart before the season is over. Or should I say arsenal fan kane shows his true colours
I see you've already replaced Mane with Jota. IT's not a young first team but there's hopefully life in most of them for a couple of years yet. I'm assuming the plan is to integrate younger players in over the next couple of seasons. Midfield looks the worst on that basis. If Keita and Ox had been the players we'd hoped we were buying, then that area would look much better. Similarly, if Minamino had been as good as hoped, the forward area would look better too.
Ah, so you're going with the Brod dream rather than the Kenny dream? You, of all people? Are Downing and Adam still "playing"?
