Visit other boards, CS. I can assure you that your views are of the sentimental minority and not aligned with real world assessment of Ole’s capability. You clearly hold on to pale vision of hope for Ole to transform while on the job, but you also lack the conviction that it will happen.
I have looked at other boards. Of course everywhere there will be a few people like you who think that unless we win the title it’s been a failure and who do not believe that Ole should be given another chance. But the vast majority of true United fans like me think that United have made progress and that he deserves at the very least another season. Like Chief and others said the key is having a good summer recruitment.
“True United fans like me”? What a silly thing to say to try and justify your position as somehow more credible. And what does that even mean in the grand scheme of laying down the claim that the manager is not good enough to lead the club forward? If that somehow makes me some sort of fake fan in your eyes because I present a differing assessment of the manager, then so be it!
Talk about being paranoid! You misinterpreted my message entirely. Vast majority think like me. not that I am a true fan and you are not.
Reading my post again I can see how it could be read another way. My point was about the support of the fans being the same as mine. look I think this debate has run its course don’t you? You are convinced that Ole is not good enough. Many others don’t agree, so we’ll agree to disagree and move on.
For the record, ChristianSmith, I respect your position and I can also appreciate why you're taking such position. In the end, I truly hope that Ole definitively proves me wrong next season as I have no doubt he will still be the manager when the season starts regardless of my opinion. All I ask is for this talented team to come out of their shell and confirm their identify as a mentally strong team that will leave the last of what they have on the pitch against all sides.
I think this bit is leading you into a false sense of what Ole has achieved so far. yes we have some very talented players (unfortunately 2 of them only show it it 15% and 40% of the time, i will leave it to others to guess/identify them), we also have some players that have the potential to be very good but are not there yet. Mixed in with them we have average to good players that give 100% effort every game and really seem to care about performances (this is the mentality that Ole has instilled throughout most of the squad and is the biggest difference between him and the recent previous managers). Ole has had one and a half seasons and the change in attitude among the players is obvious to most, he got rid of a lot of players who (regardless of talent) just didn't seem to care or have any pride personal or club wise. Does he **** up? hell yes, every time i see Rashford start on the right i pull bits of whats left of my hair out. I could go through the squad and give my opinion of them but your's and others would/may be different so i doubt we would ever meet a consensus (with 600M supporters that would be hard)
