Yep. Same here. Most fans will be nervous.

To Ole and the team this will feel like a rites of passage before moving on to bigger things. Win and move on. On the other hand if we lose, all the critics, ABU pundits, ESPN will come out in force and the story will go for weeks.

    Best win then, eh?

I look at the team in the OP and, even if Maguire doesn't play, can't see how it can't win.

Far superior to the opposition, there's not even a question about that.

Well yeah, the team I stated bar Maguire.

    It's not even rocket science.

We DO NOT need Fred AND McTominay.

Here's the team - Bruno, fittingly, is our captain for tonight

A comment from someone somewhere else - 'Ole has gone from stand-in teacher to Deputy Head - a win tonight will see him firmly in the role'

I just hope Pogba is up to dropping to his usual role, we can't afford for him to become dis-interested and start giving the ball away or losing positional discipline. The last thing we need in this game is to find ourselves behind to an early goal(s) - this ain't the PL, - coming from behind with eleven men in defence won't be easy - but **** it - this very night 22 years ago we did that very thing against Bayern.

Pogba got to be on his best game and start well, and cut out the loose passes, which has happened from time to time.

And there you have it, the reason why a centre half is the absolute priority this summer.

Such a silly goal to concede. Why are we so reluctant to cross the ball from the wings? We’ve got Cavani in the middle waiting FFS.

We looked completely devoid of ideas going forward, we have done all season when we've come up against a well organised set up. Just no imagination or desire to make something happen.

Make no mistake, the possession meant fck all, Villareal only let us get as far forward as they wanted us to. When they wanted to push us back they did, when they wanted to sit back and let us play in front of them, they did.

Rashford has had a stinker, fair play.

I'd be bringing Mata on at this point.

    Calm nous.

What's letting us down is we're giving away possession far too easily. Just hold onto the ball and we'll get a goal.

Well... that and our finishing lol

It’s more credit to Villarreal with how they’ve set themselves up.

Not really because every time Rashford has had the ball he's either fallen over it or given it away.

    He's had a poor game.

Pogba's not really done much either.

Let’s see how this extra time goes. This has certainly not been as easy as people projected. It’s anyone’s game.

    .

He's at least tried to have some control of the game.

I'd actually bring Dan James on and bang balls behind their line.

Let them try to chase him down.
