Building again which is good , they've had a few on trial playing recently. O'Leary seems to have turned the sides' fortunes around since taking over https://www.deepdaledigest.com/news...ve-signed-ex-preston-talent-lincoln-mcfayden/
On this day 42 years ago, I was on the North Bank to see Tosh score the winning goal against Chesterfield and secure promotion to the Second Division (Championship)
On this day in 1985, 56 football fans went to a match and never returned home: 54 Bradford City fans and 2 Lincoln City fans fell victim to a tragedy that should never have happened. RIP
78 years ago tonight a squadron of Lancasters set out to attack the great dams of the Ruhr Valley. Of the 133 aircrew that took part, 53 men were killed and 3 became prisoners of war. RIP
5 years ago the Yanks took control of Swansea City. They promised to take us to the next level - most certainly took us to the next level, but not the level or direction that we were hoping for ....
How time flies when you're having fun .the last five years have been extremely painful but the trouble is we've been spoilt
Personally I don't think the last adventure can be topped, as I'm too disillusioned by money ruling the game. The "new" (5 years already ) owners aren't helping. Saying that, it's the previous owners that have left the bitterest taste and really ended the adventure. ****ers.
I don't know. The previous owners were responsible for the most proud I think I felt a a Swans supporter. When we played the big teams off the park - winning 5-0 away etc. When I started supporting the Swans we were lucky to get 5 goals away all season! Crowds of 2500 players who could only pass across the park, some plucked from the senior league etc. To Swansalona! Like it or not they chose two of the brightest managers in football - sure it was bitter at the end but the sweetness of what went before will not be forgotten. Best moment - In Santiago airport in Chile Arsenal versus us (Sanchez the national hero had scored) and we came back to win - I was the only person cheering when Gylfi put it in!
I agree really, that's why I said the last adventure couldn't be topped, for me. The bitter taste was from feeling the previous owners had stabbed the fans in the back - all the worse because they'd done so well and no one expected them to be capable of it.
