Yeah, I'm prejudiced and bigoted against sectarians and people who boo England players for making anti-racist gestures. I think the Venn diagram of those two groups is a perfect circle. You got me.

You ignore the reasons the people themselves say that they are booing or objecting, so yes, you are prejudiced, bigoted, and ignorant.

Anyone who boos their own players is a twat, whatever the circumstances.

Are the England players still Marxists?

As others have said, it's not the players being booed.

Oh, let me guess, they're booing because BLM are a domestic Marxist terrorist organisation who want to feast on the spleens of white babies or something blah blah blah.

Or maybe they're just insecure racists who are uncomfortable with 'uppity' black players making a public gesture against racism. The media and racists clutched pearls the exact same way when Smith and Carlos protested at the 1968 Olympics and both received abuse and death threats.

I hope they kneel during the national anthem.

So when the players are doing the knee and they hear booing from their own fans do you think they all say 'its ok chaps they're not booing us'. No, they'll more likely just think ffs our own fans are booing us now, can't do right for wrong.
If fans don't like the knee they should just keep their gobs shut.

Hopefully they will think 'We need to stop this thing, it's counter productive.'

The fans are expected to hear and consider the new version of why they're kneeling, which differs from the original, and accept it, so why shouldn't the players consider why the fans are doing it?

Just wondering if those who support the knee will boo teams who don't take the knee?

I think everyone has made their own positions clear on the taking the knee issue, and I doubt anything posted on here is going to change anyone else's view, so can I politely request the subject is avoided on here, and people find somewhere else to voice their views, as it is just liable to end up with personal slanging matches.

Any views on the teams? Any predictions on the outcomes?

Can't see further than Czech Republic to be honest.

Best team in the world at the moment.

Don't see how they can be stopped.

The following isn't any more political than many posts above so hopefully it won't be deleted.

Given there were numerous BLM banners draped over the seats at Premier League grounds this past season, I fear the FA is still latched onto the what is undoubtedly the transatlantic meaning of the gesture. Any attempt to re-frame the gesture is somewhat disingenuous imho and an attempt to avoid further criticism, especially when football already has the excellent Kick it Out Campaign which is what they should be concentrating on, just like the Millwall players did for instance.

Regardless of what someone in England may think they mean by taking the knee, the rest of the world see's it as a BLM supporting gesture, which is problematic. The FA have, in my opinion, got it wrong and are now trying to pivot to saying it's in support of the aims of Kick it Out, not BLM, which is the re-framing of the gesture I mention above.

Kick it Out - Excellent and should be fully supported. BLM - not so much.
