I thought this was the pun & tea lady thread? That was the impression I got yesterday. At least Saints Academy is football related
And to think that we released Tyrone Mings because he was too small (And Danny Ings for the same reason)
The python picked the passion fruit, the marmoset the mandarin, The parrot painted packets, that the whole caboodle landed in.
Mings was released because we released everyone in his age group when we went skint I thought? He ended up on a scholarship at a sporting school rather than in another academy and played for some local teams around me before being taken to Ipswich. If the story I’ve heard is true the reason he is a pro is down to an ex Saint ironically
Mings has yet to do anything to prove we were wrong to let him go. Villa fans think he is garbage and dragged through games by Ezri Konsa (who should be called up instead). As for how he gets called up for England I have no idea.
Mings is massively overrated. I remember him not jumping when in the wall for JWP's second free kick last season. Had he jumped he would have blocked it, or at least deflected it over.
My latest in the series of "can we buy him, especially if Ings goes" is Dutch striker, Myron Boadu from AZ Alkmaar.
Seeing as you said you can’t remember faces that you saw 2 weeks ago I’m not surprised you can’t remember me mentioning him about a month ago and us having a conversation about him
I think it was you anyway; somebody suggested Alexander Isak, who will be way out of our price range and Boadu was who I thought could be a realistic alternative
