I don’t believe him. I think there is a sale going on behind the scenes.

But Ehab isn't a promoter, he doesn't have the gift of the gab and I don't think the media side comes naturally to him at all. But that's not his role, his job is the finances and I'd expect him to focus on those when he's interviewed.

Many fans won't like it but at this moment in time, we're extremely well run and the club is sustainable and successful. We know the Allam's failings of the past but they weren't the sole reason. Recruitment had been abysmal, the Summer of 2017 was the pinnacle. To spend £12m on 4 players & release them all 3 years later was completely unacceptable. We could've and should've spent more in 2017 considering the outgoings but £12m is more than enough to create the spine of a very good championship side, especially with some of the players we still had at the club.

Nothing new in what he has said, same old same old. One thing you can say is that they are running the club on a financial level prudently, which as it has turned out with the Corona Virus pandemic, has meant the club is in a much better financial position than many others. That may help coming into next season, as by a situation out of their control the playing field has been leveled somewhat, which is more by accident than planning.

As far as new ownership is concerned, we will just have to grin and bear it for the time being, as dealing with them is notoriously difficult, so any prospective new taker with need a lot of patience for them to succeed IMO.

He talked about wage bill so I’m guessing Sunderland, Portsmouth possibly Ipswich paid out more in wages.
I do agree with him around young players coming through it is great to see.

Does he include loading 16 million of debt onto the SMC in his calculations?

To be fair, and on the **** scale of 1 to 10 where 10 is the usual Ehab that interview was distinctly mid table just like his ambitions for next season - so half a ****

Your definition of 'doing a decent job' must be way different to mine!

Fair comment though by John in post #43 "One thing you can say is that they are running the club on a financial level prudently, which as it has turned out with the Corona Virus pandemic, has meant the club is in a much better financial position than many others. That may help coming into next season, as by a situation out of their control the playing field has been leveled somewhat, which is more by accident than planning".

Its not an accident that we were one of the few clubs living within our means as the pandemic struck.

I think for the level of support we have( is it around 5000 season ticket holdèrs).
Then the standard of player we have been signing and keeping at the club is pretty good and i think we will have a go at the championship next season. That's a decent job done by all the management team.

I dont disagree with much of that ....but your own 1st sentence is a clue to where I'm coming from.
And again in this interview he shows he's useless as a 'people person' and has no understanding of being a football fan. Some say thats not his job, i disagree 100%. Of course he has to have a sound business strategy and plan, which he now has (the logic of which has been increased due to covid), but he/they also should have some understanding of and empathy toward us fans (their customers) and build not decimate the fan (customer) base. He has next to zero understanding nor empathy.
As someone already said, he continues to come over as a smug **** who doesn't give a **** about us and who you just want to smash in the face (that is if you can even bear to look at him). I know, not very nice or mature, but just how it is, and they started it and still make no genuine attempt to put things right.
But yes, the current business model does make sense atm and hopefully places the club at an advantage over many others.

Can't argue with any of that. As i said the things they have said and done were unnecessary and they took their arguement with the council out on the fans. I believe because of that they should go, but i don't think ehab wants to go.

He'll want to go of a big enough offer comes in. Isn't that the point of business?

He isn't interested in building the fan base. And he has obviously dispensed with the local media for the purposes of the annual report.

Think about the number of cars he could buy for £40m. At the end if the day, just like any business owner if the incentive to sell is there, he'll sell. If he feels theres greater value in holding on, he'll hold onto it.

I'd quite like to sell my flat. But i wont be selling it at a loss. That doesn't mean i dont want to sell. Just theres more value to me in holding onto it than just accepting any offer. Its unrealistic to expect any peoperty or business owner to sell at any cost.

    Its all about the price.

The club doesn’t belong to Ehab and the decision to sell won’t be his.

Assem/Ehab same applies. As Ehab is Assem's figurehead nowadays and the post replied to mentioned Ehab, i used Ehab when i could have used Allams or Assem interchangeably.

Its still unrealistic for them to sell at any price and until any offer exceeds the value to them of holding onto the club, then it wont be sold.

When an offer comes in which does, then it will be.

So I gather that Turkish chap, who is/was supposedly interested in purchasing HCAFC couldn't guarantee his kebab sales would hit the mark.
next up...the bloke from Dope Burger.
