Where did I say the owners are great ?
Its football, clubs go up and down, you take the rough with the smooth, the good times with the bad times etc etc
A supporter should support through thick and thin.
If you are waiting for the prefect owners before venturing back to watch the team you claim to be a supporter of, then you'll be waiting a long time.
    They don't exist.

I know you know this, but none of it’s really black and white
As Urika said people stopped going decades ago when we weren’t winning, and similarly some will always go regardless of winning, or owners, or the name of the club etc.
In almost any situation there’s three groups though.
In this case there are the two I’ve already mentioned, but there’s a big group in the middle who could go either way dependant on loads of factors, and those factors are different for different people, and even for the same person at different times of their lives.
Surely the trick for any club is to keep as many of those people towards the ‘going to every match’ end.
That’s what they haven’t done well.

Thet want their owner gone because they think they should be a top four club and they want their manager sacked despite finishing 12th in the Premier League, they’re deluded.

Deluded or wise, they turn up and support regardless.

Wish we had a few more 'deluded' fans.

Some just look for an excuse not to go though, all clubs have them, but we seem to have a hell of a lot more for some reason. The ones who aren't going ATM due to not agreeing with or liking the owners ( only the allams though, they where ok with the other awful owners we have had ) have set a precedent for themselfs.... If they ever come back, are they just going to leave again when the new owners do something they don't like ( put the prices up inline with other clubs prices for example ) or are they going to suddenly be ok with the current ones if we are making a top 6 push or even better gain promotion to the prem ( the ill feeling towards the Allams and all the other reasons not to go soon where forgotten when we drew Chelsea in the cup ).

Personally I think a lot more then will ever admit it are just using the allams as an excuse not to go as they know it's the popular thing to do and they won't face the questions they would if they admitted they just didn't want to go anymore because we had dropped down the league's for example.

As for the club doing more to keep fans coming back.... It's cheap as chips to watch us ( in football terms ), we are on the up again after last season, we have a very exciting young squad with homegrown players pushing through and if we look at last season's performances... Play some great football. If you really are a hull city fan, why would you stay away this season?

You realise that under our other really **** owners, the attendances were even worse than they are now?

I really don’t understand why some attempt to make excuses for the owners and slag the fans instead, 10,000 fans didn’t just get together and decide it would be cool to stop going.

Attendances will be up next season, partly because we’re moving in the right direction on the pitch and partly because everyone’s been deprived of attending anything for well over a year.

    Let’s hope so anyway.

That’s because they have absolutely no reason not to attend.

With a few exceptions all clubs get more fans when they are winning and on the way up and it's no surprise that they get less when they lose and get relegated. That's a FACT and there's loads of examples not only Hull City.

A smart owner builds on the feel good factor whilst on the way up, our owners don't.

I'm not making excuses for the owners at all and as I have before I will question and or criticise when needed. But I won't just blindly blame them for everything.

Believe it or not, I'm fully aware the attendance was crap back then, when was it ever said it wasn't? But let's be fair... People weren't staying away because of the crap owners where they! It was the crap football and low league position.

Quick genuine question for you.... Are more fans in your opinion staying away because of the owners or because we aren't a prem team anymore?

Are our owners not building on the feel good factor?.. We have started making very good signings early on ready for next season. Our relatively cheap Prices haven't gone up and as far as I'm aware they won't. They are staying out the media and press for the most part and just letting grant get on with things

I think relegation from the Premier League probably wiped a third off attendances, the Allams were then responsible for halving what was left.

With regard to corporate ticket sales, I think the Allams are much more significantly responsible for the decimation of the support.

I know it's your thing but a few early good (?) signings is not building on the feel good factor.

Cheap prices? people are getting more and more picky as to where to spend their money.

Now is the time they should be in the media with good news stories, not punching above our weight player wage to position ratio waffle

Tin pot club in a tin pot sport Hull FC run rings around the Allams.

Early signings is good news, or should we wait till last min as we have done before ( which people slated them for and asked for business to be done early )

Tying a fantastic player in Jones down to a longer contract is good news ( again doing what people have been crying out for and slating the owners for in the past for not doing )

People are being picky about what they spend money on, but that doesn't change the fact we are in football terms very very responsibly priced... Some would still complain if they made tickets free!

Ehab going on camera and being realistic about or position and aims etc is again exactly what people have been asking for. He gets slated if he goes on and says we are going to spend and not sell players but then doesn't spend and does sell. So he gives an honest assessment and the punching above our weight line is exactly what we will be doing if we managed a top 6 push or better. Plus last was a fantastic achievement... How quick have Sunderland managed to get back up? How quick did leeds manage it? Look back over the years, not many big teams have got out L1 the first time of asking.

Let's just be honest, no matter what is said or what they do, you won't think it's enough.
