Lilywhite Rose is saying they understand we’ve waived the 50% sell on clause to Vitoria for Marcus Edwards which would’ve netted us around £6m but (somehow?) will have it in the deal at Sporting, which if true, could be a master stroke providing he continues to improve and grow, because in a year or two at Sporting, he could then be sold for something like £35m+ to a team in a top five European League.

Still think we’ll regret letting him go but getting a good amount should he get a big move is a decent consolation.

 

Let's see how long this saga runs on for. I have a feeling Kane will need to force the issue if he is that desperate to go. The rumoured players City are offering are Laporte, Jesus or Sterling. Would any of you take them?

 

Assuming Harry handed in a request, if they changed the deal to “and” instead of “or” Sterling I’d take it, lol.

I don’t want him to go though so I would be demanding something stupid like that if I were in Levy or Paratici’s position.

 

I’d take Laporte but would want more money upfront as part of that.

 

I think Barca were sniffing around Laporte, not sure if its just paper talk but I'm sure their would be a great deal of interest if he was available. I think wages and no champions league football would be an issue. Not really interested in Jesus and Sterling and think they are both on big contracts. Isn't Sterling on over £300k per week. Can't see any exchange deal being done.

 

Agreed. Don't rate Jesus and Sterling seems to require endless patience and world class players all around him to flourish. But Laporte is a very good player who is still a couple of years off his peak. Also addresses our weakest area of the team.

If Kane is determined to go, £120m plus Laporte would do it for me.
