It's a farce now as thousands of sweaty socks were roaming around non English London. This govt has about as much control now as an alchaholic in an off licence.
Now wee jimmy sturgeon the Glasgow dictator can blame any covid clampdowns on the English. All those covid carriers on packed trains brining the London variant back with them.
I don’t think we can argue faulty goods, we gave him a medical, which it seems he passed (we didn’t sign one player as he failed his, we can’t have it both ways) and Bielsa admitted we were taking a punt on a player with a poor injury record to get him cheaper. It will simply come back to the wording on the contract and whether it ‘runs to the end of the season’ or states a specified date, which expired due to suspension of the matches. The only other thing I seem to remember that was reported was our obligation to buy as long he also agreed and he made it clear he couldn’t cope with the Bielsa level of fitness so no longer wanted to join (I could well be wrong with that).
Captain hindsight would oversee a disaster of biblical proportions. The tories are not that good but have been brilliant with vaccine rollout. But with 80% first doses have held back too long.
English teams are yet again dominating European finals and 15 England players were part of those club teams in Europe. Yet only 5 players were selected to play last night. A couple are injured yes but sorry Southgate could never get a club team to a European final and that says he has no idea. Hope Kalvin has learnt how quick you go from hero to zero when playing for England. Kalvin was ok last night in screw up team but now every pundit saying changes needed (except Neville) Belliingham and Sancho were great for Dortmund in the league and Champions League. Southgate has no idea and will have a nice long period of unemployement in a week or so
He’ll keep his job as he is an FA yes man and top guys wouldn’t want the job. There isn’t a replacement that would tick both boxes of wanting the job and considered suitable by the FA
Another Sunday where the BBC website has no gossip on players Leeds are chasing. Just makes you love Orta as everything under wraps. plenty of click bait sites as usual but their big stories either concern Alioski having offers from 4 Turkish clubs, or Leeds getting bids for Llorente and Phillips and the rest is just slagging Phillips for not being as good as Billy Gilmour…… Think we did mention that Kalvin would soon go from being everyones fav player to everyones hate target. Hope the kids in the academy are being shown this lesson, because we’ve all seen players like Cooke, White, Mowatt, Pierce etc get bigged up and believe their press before taking a fall
I watched kalvin throughout the game and he covered the scots well moving from one to another. His movement off the ball was good but England were on a different planet to him. You can take rice out and put someone creative instead. Kalvin took over his role later in the game so don't need rice.
