We need to share the goals out more , even two players getting 15 goals each equates to one Wyke (30),also gives us the chance to vary our attacking style more

I hope I dont come across as Johnsons cheerleader, but I do think he is a mile ahead of Parkinson and made a huge difference. However I too saw some worrying signs toward the end, particularly one press conference after the match where he said we had targeted a clean sheet. It felt a bit negative when we were in that bad run and in need of wins and bravery. I also agree on Wyke, there were games in the run in he looked to be waiting for something rather than making things happen, which I thought he did well in the post Christmas period.

Next season is big for Johnson. He needs to get it right, and if he doesnt I am sure he will go, which is fair enough. I dont buy into the 10 games to get it right though, I would be patient with any manager. Hopefully he does, I would have few quid on him getting it right, but I am often wrong...

i dont really care how much 'waffle' comes out of a managers gob, the one thing that sticks with me is that LJ managed to get some kind of tune out of players parky had at his disposal, maybe it was just the wyke/mcgeady combo but there was definately 'something extra' in the performances...i am hoping that with the new recruitment regime and the chance to get the right players in that we will see just how good LJ is but i do think he is enough to get us out of this league. (mind, i said the same thing about last seasons squad)

Sorry Rog but Curry is playing for Fort Lauderdale FC in USL League 1, their 3rd tier.

Fort Lauderdale FC are Inter Miami's 2nd team. What level would you say MLS compares to in the UK and therefore what level does their 3rd tier compare to?

To put it into perspective these are the English stars from the current champions, not exactly household names.

    And their European superstar

Agree partly. But I think there’s a lot more blame to lay elsewhere for our lack of promotion. Last if all on goals from midfield, we hardly had any!!

I’d have no issue with wyke staying as I saw what he was capable of. But, and this is the strangest of feelings for a 30 goal striker, I also have no issue with him leaving! I’d have liked to see a lot more if Stewart, particularly, as you say, in those games where Wyke’s goals dried up (most of the last 12 or 13 I think) and I absolutely agree there are probably better options elsewhere too.

This pretty much sums up my view. I think if he stays he will do well again, but would probably need to accept a less pivotal role as I think the team will set up differently. One of our problems last season was we only really had creativity out wide so we had to play for crosses in the box. This season I am sure we will have more creativity in the middle (i hope that is Neil) which will require a different type of forward making different types of runs.

If he leaves, like you, I probably will be over it quickly and look forward to new and different players. I will remember him well though as a player for us based purely on goals.

Here is a thought, if fans had been in the stadium when he was scoring for fun would he have a better rapport with fans and get more appreciation? When you are in a crowd and the goal goes in and you celebrate with mates it creates memories. Maybe we are all too distant to have built those memories to associate with him.

Scored 30, missed dozens for each one he scored. Ergo missed 300 or more chances.

    It aint rocket science <doh>

You literally said fir each goal he scored he missed dozens of chances

    he scored 30 goals
    One dozen is 12
30 multiplied by 12 is 360. Using your mathematical logic, over 300. Or at least 360 was more than 300 when I studied maths at university
