You might think that as a “person of colour”, Calvin Robinson would understand why the white Labour candidate for Batley & Spen has crammed her by-election manifesto with rubbish about Palestine and Kashmir.

More than a sixth of the population of the constituency are of Pakistani origin. Given that Labour only have a majority of around 3,500 in the seat (similar to Hartlepool), they really need to get the ethnic vote to turn out. Polling currently has the Conservatives leading, with George Galloway’s Workers Party of Britain in third on six per cent (he has a history of appealing to the Muslim voter). In a Brexit voting area, the Lib Dems will be keeping quiet as they lose their deposit.

You chose to live in London. Why not try Southampton? It might be better there – a bit more conservative.

<doh> Are the “THEM” not part of the “entire country”? Your sentence is illogical (unsurprisingly).

At the last Presidential election, the Socialists voted for Macron because their useless candidate failed to make the run off so they had to stop Le Pen (the other candidate) from winning. The militant unions have opposed virtually all of Macron’s reforms so stagnant France continues to stagnate.

As I understand it from a French friend, the Socialists and les Republicains Party (the French equivalent of the Conservatives) are miles behind Macron and Le Pen in the polls, so the Left may be forced to keep Macron in office even though he personally is despised.

In the first round of local elections in France over the weekend, turnout was incredibly low just like it is in local elections in this country as more and more people identify with ‘none of the above’ by abstaining. The increasing distrust of politicians by the electorate is not just a British thing.

There is nothing wrong with Nish Kumar while the batteries on the TV remote still allow you to mute the sound, change the channel or switch the TV off.

The use of terms including "white privilege" may have contributed to the "neglect" of white working-class pupils in the education system, a Commons committee has found.

MPs on the Education Select Committee said schools must consider the implication of such "politically controversial terminology" and find "a better way to talk about racial disparities".

A report by the committee agreed with the Commission on Race and Ethnic Disparities that the term "white privilege" can be "divisive" and said disadvantaged white pupils have been let down by "muddled" policy thinking.

No, I really can't. Furthermore, I really don't want to.

I've got a pic from the dossier that I'm assuming is your sweet flower.

It started out as a cake shop. That implies a shop that trades in a specific type of baked product.

If it were morning, there would be no fact to dispute. Whether it is a good morning is subjective.

In the cake shop I was then ordering a steak bake but it had now become a family owned bakery. Perhaps the family name is Gregg so it is not a cake shop.

Clearly you have no idea about pre-decimal currency. Surely I would have used guineas as well as crowns, half crowns, shillings, sixpence and farthings.
