Absolutely, but it feels like RBR have the better car now, and unless that dynamic shifts, it's a hell of a task to claw it back over a season. He can do it, but I don't think he will. Max is too good.
I bet Lewis is privately regretting what happened in Baku. Had he settled for 2nd in that race he'd be a point in front! I still feel there will be twists and turns. Max is favourite for the WC no doubt about it but he's got no opportunity to rest on his laurels. Lewis will push him all the way.
Geraint Thomas just crashed and dislocated his shoulder riding in the peloton on Stage 3 of the TdF. The race doctor put his shoulder back in, and G is currently being helped back to the peloton by his teammates. No painkillers, just his own adrenaline. Unbelievable.
A big learning curve for young 19 year old, Jack Draper who was a Wimbledon Boys finalist a couple of years ago. He is about to take on Novak Djokovic on his Centre Court debut.
In typical British fashion, the return of Wimbledon has been greeted by the rain. Those roofs on Centre and No 1 Courts are turning out to be bloody good investments.
He's got a Champion's temperament, we could have an Andy Murray replacement here even if he doesn't win this match.
I still don't expect him to win this. Djokovic is so tough to beat over 5 sets. Promising signs but far too early to compare him to Murray.
I did say could, but he reminds me of the young Murray and he's not even 20 yet. He also beat 2 top players at Queens.
Pressure is not on him so he can play and enjoy himself. I see Tistsipas went out today so a big threat to Djoko has gone.
