Good in the middle of a back 3/5 where he can just head it and kick it, think he's been a bit exposed in a back 4. He's still not bad but been a little bit disappointing.

 

I couldn’t stand him mate, most of his advocates point out that he had a good work rate but that’s about it. I was absolutely delighted when the club didn’t renew his contract.

This the same Wigan that nearly went to the wall but now chucking money around?New owners or not, Some clubs never learn like. Ps I would've had a couple of players they have signed here mind.

 

They can have him free........... but only if they take aob, burge and flannagan with him.

 

Lost his pace a bit, and started to work his ticket a bit much, frustration I suppose, but I wouldn't be bothered if he went, we need better than Wright Wyke and Scowen anyway, they got us nowhere last season.

 

A fit Wright is a good player in this league

According to a knowledgable poster over the road Wright will be gone by the end of the window. Can’t say I’d be disappointed. Arguably the worst player during our bad run at the end. If the squad is good enough losing a player like Sanderson should have minimal impact but Wrights performances made it devastating. I’d have dropped him and played Younger and I criticise people for saying it ‘couldn’t be worse’ but he wa that bad. Younger can run without looking like he’s ****e himself.

 

Agreed. Also missed an absolute sitter at 0-0 down Lincoln in the play-off first leg. Rattled the bar, it was harder to miss.
