You were probably thinking of the Carlisle Cosh.

 

It could be called either I suppose. "The book Skinhead says, "The Millwall brick, for example, was a newspaper folded again and again and squashed together to form a cosh."
Fans were inventive in those days.

 

I remember watching a documentary years ago (30+?) about Millwall and their 'main man' was Harry the dog, his battlecry was 'do the old bill!'
Went to the old Den once on Simon Gray's bus and got dropped off at the wrong end, the police escorted us through to our end, funnily enough conversation was at a minimal.

 

From what I've been told Harry the dog's bark was worse than his bite.

This is the real reason covid passports are continually being pushed even though the relevant select committee said there unworkable, the covid passports are only the first step to nudging everyone towards exceptance of the Digital ID and when that arrives what next eh ?

 

Aren't finger prints digital ID?

 

I'm not sure it's actually anything to do with some 'push' for covid passports.
And as far as I can see, so what? The sooner the better. We live in the UK, not North Korea. It's 2021, not 19C. Unlike some, I have absolutely nothing to hide. And if it helps address the hundreds of thousands, maybe even into millions, that are in this country without the authorities knowing, then great. Such as this will make life easier and better. Plus stuff like this is pretty inevitable anyway.
