Niguez is the player we need, tough as nails and an excellent passer of the ball.

And how many times does he fire on all cylinders? We have to get over romanticizing on what could be and deal is by using facts. Facts are that Pogba has been ineffective for the most part of the last 5 years. He has caused disruptions both and off the field. He had a hand in getting a manager fired. He brings the club into disrepute through his self-serving actions.

I completely disagree that he is an excellent player. Talented, YES! Excellent, NO! There is a reason why even his own fellow professionals only voted for him once in the last 5 years as part of the team of the season. It is because Pogba is mostly smoke, with perhaps intermittent fire.

It says a lot that his French team mates rounded on him, criticising his lack of commitment to the team effort. He's one of those that only wants to play in the big games or when he is in the mood. He was our most dispossessed player last season and creates more danger in defence than threat in attack. On balance he hasn't lived up to the hype and is taking the place/wages of an infinitely more suitable, committed player. All we've got to do is find him.

Yeah, which is kind of the point in a way.

Yes, let him go, but he still leaves a void that not one of our current squad will fill.

DVDB possibly to improve 2nd season? It would he mad to sell both.

Niguez would be fantastic, absolutely ideal.

Genuine quality and allows the like's of DVDB and McTominey improve alongside.

Pogba is nowhere near the ****er you and Cytrax see him as by the way.

He's an ill advised div of a bloke but he's quite clearly not divisive and not disruptive, he's anything but.

I really hope Pogba is with us next season.

I'm absolutely convinced with the players we bring in, you're going to see his performances will be on another level.

Therein lies the problem - he isn't the type of player to drag a team through a bad spell, he doesn't lead, he waits and watches and if it goes tits up he drifts out of the game and waits out the game. For £250k PER GAME his performances should be ****ing staller - week in and week out................

Couldn't have put it any better!

The latest offer that apparently got rejected was £350k/week. In Pogba's head, he's Cristiano Ronaldo. But he ain't! I think he actually feels like a failure at United and wants a fresh start somewhere else. Why else would anyone leave United for PSG if that becomes the reality? No offense to French League, but come on!

I don't hate the guy, but there's too much unwarranted drama around him all for money which his talent doesn't quite match.

    Let him leave!

Never paid much attention to Sancho before but i knew he was "good"

just watched a highlights clip on Sky (not youtube :bandit:) and the lad is ****ing amazing. Natural first touch, fantastic composure and the simple, natural ability (and confidence/arrogance) to beat 4 men with apparent ease and still pick out the right pass.

I have to confess i am a little excited now even though it was in the BL.

He was very good in Bundesliga, Diego. But I'll wait to see how he does in the PL but I'm hopefully he'll come good here too. I am quietly excited to see how he shakes out the midfield with his creativity and combine that with Bruno's leadership. He has very good footballing brain to make good decisions when he gets the ball to open things up.

Ole has signed a new contract until the end of the 2024 season with an option for another year.

Come on, you know that's harsh - a couple more signings this window and I reckon we'll be ready to go.

    Beano actually sounds about right.

I just find it funny it happens the day after he gets a new contract.

Even more funny he came out with this after signing it...

“I have a fantastic coaching team around me, and we are all ready to take that next step on our journey. "

It's things like this that worry me about bringing in possible mercenaries...

And upon his arrival, Varane met with new boss Ancelotti to discuss his future at the club.

It's claimed by AS that Varane, who has one year left on his current deal, was hoping the Italian boss would help convince the Madrid hierarchy to offer him an improved contract extension, closer to the terms that United have tabled, suggesting he has not ruled out staying in Spain.

But that is not how the meeting materialised whatsoever as the former Everton manager backed his employer's stance that they are not going to up their initial offer.

Varane now feels awkward about the position he is in as he returns to Madrid with all this speculation in the background as he expected his future to be resolved by now.

It does all have a slight whiff of being another Angel Di Maria situation where the player is shipped out against his will and his heart really isn't in it when he starts for us. Hope not.
