    Romero Watch
As Romano said on Twitch, presumably in downtime before another round of Fall Guys, negotiations with Atalanta for Romero haven't collapsed as they are fine with the base fee we're offering, but the structure and timing of add-ons and bonuses need to be thrashed out

However, there's a slight wrinkle as Atalanta reportedly have an interest in...

    Tomiyasu Watch
    ...bloody typical, eh?

Should we respond by threatening to hire the 50 highest paid lawyers on earth and devoting the next twenty years to suing them?

I can't think where I heard that one before...

City have a point (i don't actually believe they have said that, it's journo speak but same instance), Kanes time has come and almost gone.
Next year he will be a year older (29?) and have less time on his contract with nothing significant on his CV, if you were going to make an offer for an ageing striker of anything over £100m it would probably only be Lewandowski that you would look at and as far as i know nobody is doing that. Already he has been usurped as a top gun by people like M'Bappe and Haaland, in the coming season other "kids" may just make a breakthrough and become a big thing.
If you don't/can't make top dollar on him this season then the price is only going to drop

City have no point...if they want him pay up or **** off.
Levy gets **** (sometimes deserved) for messing around but to do this publicly is a farce.
He is on a 3 year contract, he would get into most, if not all the top teams in Europe, he is a proven scorer and provider of a lot of goals, he has is on course to be the Premier leagues highest ever goal scorer and England's too, he is the the England captain, we do not want to sell and City appear desperate for him.

We keep him and scrape top 4 and sell him for £80m next summer would mean we make much more than £160m so like I said, they should pay up or **** off.

Plastic club with deep pockets can **** off with their cries of "but it's too much money".

£860m spent in 5 years under he who must be called Pep and now they expect a discount ffs?

why is Lewandowski at 32 worth it but Kane at 29 isn’t?

I dont buy the hype that Lewandowski is a better striker than Kane

Dont make me laugh mate and try to tell me it’s because he’s won things with Bayern Munich, it’s like winning things with Celtic plus I don’t think it’s a reflection of an individuals ability…so I’m interested to know why you think an ageing world class striker is a better option than a world class striker hitting the sweet spot of his career? Plus youve gone on to say age is an advantage for the likes of Mbappe and Haaland over Kane but Kane’s age has been ignored when comparing to Lewandowski.

    Lol

I didn't ignore Lewans age, i actually put it in the post (32)..........scrap that bit i didn't but meant to <doh>
I never said he was worth more than Kane, what i did say is that if you were going to throw that kind of money at an ageing striker he would be the more likely option.

My opinion only because (to me) he is a far better striker and 3 years of him would be more beneficial than 5 years of Kane to a clubs success.

Makes no difference...3 years left on his contract means they pay or he stays.

Modric threw a wobbly and had to stay another season.
Bale threw his toys out of the pram but Madrid had to pay the full amount we wanted.
Same when Berbatov went awol cos he wanted to go to United.

In each case the player wanted out but was on a long term contract.

If Kane wants to wreck his relationship with us that's his choice but City should stfu and pay up or go sign a more affordable player.

The press, city and kane want this transfer to happen... and to greater or smaller degrees need it to happen or they'll look stupid.
That's what lays behind the continuous stories of it's too much.

If it's too much find a cheaper option, if Kane wants to go then he should give up a signing on fee and take less money to help them out...after all he ain't going for the money, just the trophies.

Honestly I’m more concerned about who will be our next ****house king more than if Kane stays or goes.

who will give us moments like last season when Lamela gave Martial a smack in the gob and when he retaliated, he got sent off <laugh>

Hojbjerg has got a touch of being a bastard about him tbh but I did love watching Lamela pissing off opposition fans and players.
Watching Jack Wilshere lose his **** at Wembley while Lamela laughed at him made going to that **** hole for 18 months worthwhile <laugh>

City are negotiating, they want Kane a lot and will pay the money but they can’t be seen to just roll over and pay whatever Spurs want. It’s all posturing and mind games.

I still expect Kane to be a City player by the end of the window and the fee will be over £120million

Should keep him unless City cough up...if we had won 4 more games last season we'd have got top 4... that alone will be worth £60-70m in TV, prize, sponsorship and advertising money...not to mention match day revenue and ticket money.

And City can pay what we want...just like Madrid did for Bale or United did for Berbatov.

They are the richest club in the Premier League so should pay up or go get a cheaper option...we ain't here to give them the best striker in England for what they want to to pay so they and he who shall be called Pep should dig deep or stfu

I completely agree. Spurs quite rightly want big money but I think they’ll get it. City need a striker no matter what they publicly say. The longer they have to wait for their first inevitable CL will be in the minds of Pep and their owners. Kane could prove the difference in getting it next season or waiting a couple more years

Exactly the kind of signing Spurs should be making. He's young, he's fun to watch and he has a lot of potential. While the fact is that for various reasons, he's probably middling risk (from La Liga, and an unconventional style), he's potentially high reward, I think it establishes Spurs as a good place for crowd-pleasing young players, which may be the most helpful thing Paratici and Nuno could be doing ATM. Also, the deals Paratici has made are considerably better than I hoped he would make, both in terms of quality and cost.

I just watched Gil play the last third of Spain's game against Australia. The highlight was the announcer saying, "What a difference Gil has made!" That and the fact he seems to be a Spur already. He wasn't on the pitch five seconds before being wrongly flagged for offside. I was impressed overall. It seems he can either stretch the defense on the left, and put in a cross, or cut in and dribble a player or two. HIs decision making seems notably good, and his passing accurate. He was Spain's first passing option more often than not, partly because he was wide enough not to be marked closely--until Australia shifted a man over to do just that. He won't score a lot of goals but could well get a lot of assists. His first option is to create a little space, then get a good pass or cross into a danger area. Spain did score the winning goal ten minutes or so after he came on, but he wasn't directly involved. He looks as if he'll fit in nicely with the style Nuno is trying to play. He and Reguilon could form a very interesting partnership on the left, especially as they seem to be friends.
