Match preview; So on to an away match against League One, Cambridge United, a week before the season proper starts, and a few days after we beat the mighty Man Utd, 4-2 (edit after posts below. My mind/memory is in holiday mode). Re-watched those highlights a number of time this week. Going into this game, I expect to see a number of players who didn't feature against United to play. The result isn't that important, but I hope we'll see some improvements in fitness and the manager try some new tactics if needed. I'll add team news when/if it goes on the official, and for those who can make it...have a lovely day. I got married in Cambridge and my in-laws are still there, lovely town to wonder around, plenty of options for a good pre-match pub lunch and a few drinks pre/post match. Team news to go up once on the official. Enjoy one and all and as always...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPS!!!
Rewatched the highlights a few times? Come on Dave, you're better than that! Yes, 4-1 v ManUre has great memories for a lot of us, but they did manage a second on Saturday....
Cambridge United were the opposition on my second visit to Loftus Rd at the end of August 1982.My only visit to the loft
Anyone doing this recast thing? Seems a load of old **** to me. Have to watch loads of bull **** to earn credit to then spend on what you want watch. Or you pay for credit, which I guess is what they really want you to do. 500 credit to watch tonight's game, I'm about 270 short and for some reason it's offering me Hibernian FC ads to watch to earn the cred. Weird.
Fond (but vauge) memories of the game at Cambridge in November 1982. Had to walk through a field with grazing cows to get to the ground and then Clive Allen scored a hattrick (although I am more certain of the cow anecdote).
No but thought about it & decided against it after going into it, seems too overly complicated for what it is
My dad took me to Cambridge v QPR for my birthday when I was young. I thought it was early 80s but we lost so I’m thinking it could have been the 1979 match.
I just downloaded it onto my laptop and watched some short clips/ads (mostly about Hibs!) and now I have a free link that opens 30 mins before the game. Not at all difficult. Come on u RRRRRRrrrrssss!!!!
Just watch them it takes about 2 mins to get the last 200 points! (ignore post above, answered the wrong post)
Yeh, done the same on the laptop. Took me perhaps 5 minutes to get to 490 points and 30 minutes for the last 10! Got there in the end by going out, then going back in again, if anyone else has that problem.
