Right you lot, time to get your butts out of hibernation, the footie season is nearly up on us. Next Saturday to be precise, 7th August. How do you think we will do against Lincoln? How do you think we will do in the league up until Christmas? Whose the player name to watch for us? What do you think the starting line up will be? Has @alwaysright seat been blighted by a covid red cross? I've no shame, stole this, list of players and respective positions, thank you kindly Mr Gills in the Blood... please log in to view this image @grumpygit hope you are keeping well my friend? @The Gills PegLeg Oliver who? Anyway where's @patchy70 with our super famous prediction league? Shall we still let the tourist in, @Resurgam? @itstimupnorth time to dust off the cobwebs mate. Up The Gills.
brb - you can't upset me this week.... Yesterday, I got some fantastic news ( can't share ) - nothing to do with GFC (obviously)............ It will all change by next week - by which time I won't have received my season ticket card ( default for 2 year STH ), and I won't be able to use my vouchers for extra tickets - and - I won't be able to wear my new shirt -- not likely to be ready before October..... and I won't be able to go to the non-existent megastore (( you know - actually being able to see, feel and size-up merchandise before parting with cash !)) ... but, I might be able to drown my sorrows with some dubious ale.
Hi brb, I'm still hanging on thanks, treatment ongoing. My new season ticket hasn,t turned up yet, can't logon to the site. Can't reset my password, I. Seem to have disappeared in the system change.
Hello grumpygit, You're a tough cookie I've not got an ST anymore but I understand there's been a new system installed. It's probably going to mean a telephone call to the club. If you need any help, let me know.
I haven't got mine ( nor my extra tickets for my sons ), - nor has my brother, his son, my friends around me........ ..... I do have details on my mobile... I have printed off 'paperwork' which confirms my seat.... AND, I'm up for causing a mental breakdown of anyone who tries to prevent me entering Priestfield on Saturday.
The 2 year STH ( double idiots like me), have been told that we automatically will receive a card ( and we can't do E-ticket as well !
I asked on Twitter what the system was now and got these responses mate... 1. No more Season Ticket Books anymore BRB, You had the choice of having your Season Ticket stored as A E-Ticket on your phone, or A Season Ticket Card which will be sent through the post. It is also likely that we will say goodbye to printed match-day programmes at Gills as well. 2. Not books anymore. Once you renew/buy either online or on the phone you will get the option of an e-ticket (which is just a QR code) or a physical ST card (which will likely just have the QR code printed on). Cards sent this week. 3. They are a mixture of an e ticket or credit card style ST.
Well - my sons can get in the ground !!!! Finally - the system allowed me to print off the extra tickets I ( paid for ) bought my sons........ we'll see if my card arrives................ .............. I might be disappointed if it does - preventing me from having an argument at the turnstile.. I'd be interested if anyone has tried to 'use' the friends for £5 vouchers to get extra tickets (( or the 5 'free' tickets from 2019/20 )).... I can't see anywhere on the system that allows STH to use a code etc for this 'benefit.'..... Not too bothered for the first game - I'll save that 'meltdown' for Morecambe.
Is it me getting older, or is the off-season getting shorter? Yep, slowly waking up, though haven't been following the pre-season, as usual. No Rochdale or Oldham this season, closest for me are probably Bolton and Accrington. Pleased that Crewe are in L1 as well - other than the very local matches definitely among my favourite away matches. Still missing Bradford though.
I think the previous season finished later due to covid catch up....sounds like a pun in there lol....then we had the EUROs fill the gap.
Premier League Norwich certainly put us to the test last night... I think the score would have been a lot higher if it were not for Cumming.
Mr Scally has said there will be a free programme supplement against Lincoln. Not likely to be anymore this season unless online. Season ticket card was sent out on Monday so should arrive Thursday.
Gillingham FC @TheGillsFC As a reminder to all supporters, please note that season ticket cards have now been dispatched. For those who requested one, you can expect to receive them over the next couple of days, prior to Saturday's game against Lincoln. We thank you for your patience in this matter. 9:15 am · 5 Aug 2021·TweetDeck
Yep still seems to be a considerable number of people who still haven't received them yet. Knowing Gills they probably sent them all second class so they'll have a big queue at the ticket office tomorrow of unhappy fans without their season cards.
There is NO ticket office !!! There is NO ticket office !!! There is NO ticket office !!! ----- it does NOT exist -- how many more times do I have to tell you ?
