Just to confirm that for some people, you definitely can’t win!

Yeah I was wondering that. I was livid having missed the first five minutes and with the utter shambles of it all but by full time I was on such a high think I would have been happy with a hands up apology! Was really unhappy when saw the team sheet but boy did they put in a shift and Ralph actually made the proactive changes. Such a great day and confidence boost. So many positives to take from that. Have to get kwp in the starting line up with Tino

Tip. Don't go to football with someone who is involved with a current ITV reality show. Got in 20 minutes late.
Very happy with the result though, Northam was really supportive today.

Car got broken into last night which meant i missed going to the game but got to watch it at home.
Game cheered me up more then i thought it would. Great team effort from the guys today and great to see Ralph make some subs at sensible times. Happy we went to a back 3 when 1 up and KWP looked good on the left. As much as I'd like to see Tino in rm he looks a lot better at rb so long as someone covers him when he makes attacking runs. Unlucky with Armstrong missing some sitters but a point from two top teams is fine in my book so long as we make it count against the lesser teams. Pre season against cardiff and swansea show it might be possible. Up the saints!

I heard a couple of people moaning about Armstrong's miss in the second half. Don't agree. We finally have a striker who is a bit selfish and shoots on sight. It's what we've been lacking. As long as most of his shots are on target that's fine. He will score a hatful - as he did at Blackburn. Remember if we want a striker to be absolutely sure, he will pussy foot around on the edge of the box as so many of our players did last season - and then fluff it.

Agree. Happy for Armstrong to keep shooting. Only redmond does it continuously and his finishing is not the greatest. Just need to make sure tino and djenepo find him as much as possible after good runs.

So both Klopp and Solskjaer both moaning that referees are letting too much go. Well they can quite frankly **** off.

Agree - recently watched Shearer’s 100 best PL goals and was struck by how many he just hit instinctively. Obviously too early to say but there’s a little hint of this in Armstrong. Might be a Geordie thing

Yeah, it was a snapshot. He'll be far more gutted than most that he missed it. If he'd actually miskicked it, it would have gone in! But yes, let's bloody well shoot! Love it.

I was interested to note in the pre-game stats that he was the quickest player in the PL last weekend (faster than Adama Traore) - that bodes well.

I must admit I'm surprised at just how quick he is.

I blamed Stephens for that pass, as it wasn’t perfect, I am but quite sure that Romeu put up a hand in apology for not controlling the ball. He seemed to just get a toe to it which conceded possession.
Might just be me but Romeu seems half a step off the pace at times, in the first two games.

Lunch etc with relatives today, so a bit in the dark with a rubbish signal too, so had a nervous post 34 mins! Well done Saints and it's just great to see on here do many positives. Let's keep both trends going, ie winning points and compliments!

Souness is a cock, the only sky pundit to call Stephens challenge a foul.

    Souness.....SOUNESS??????????

Just about every challenge he ever made was like that. He would never have made it as a professional if he couldn't challenge like that. Muppet .

I think he is a cock, but he has a little credit in my book. about 15 years ago we were at Heathrow ready to go on holiday and my then 16 year old daughter kept nudging me and pointing saying "That's that guy isn't it dad?". I said leave him alone he is going on holiday like us. He saw this, walked over and smiled at me and said "Hi I am Graeme, pleased to meet you". Stood with s for 5-10 mins chatting and was really nice.

    But still a pundit cock.

Looks like I missed a good one, well done Saints! Does this mean I can actually watch MOTD without fear tonight?

You can. Armstrong may even score in his one on one in the replay
