When I was doing my expert research on him reading a Blackburn forum a lot of them mentioned that he was really bad at 1 on 1s. Took his last week well and today’s was very poor, maybe something to keep and eye on to see which is the real Armstrong
Looked a great atmosphere and so good to see St Mary's full again. We looked the .most likely team to win it at the end which is not something I could say in 2nd half of last season. Stopped utd getting another away win and their fans disappointed in their long trip back to Surrey.
Really enjoyed the match and was hugely surprised Ralph made some subs well before 80 mins! Bit weird we had 2 right backs on, neither at right back, but it seemed to work. So very happy to see KWP still exists Would like to see how the double body-check on Tino wasnt a foul as he seemed to pinball between challenges, but guess that wont make highlights, no matter how sexy his run was. One silly little tiny thing that annoyed me, and I wonder if there are rules to cover it? There was clearly no multi-ball in play, just the single match ball, but Man U changed balls in the second half. Ball went out and de Gea picked up a different one, the original ball rejected when it was thrown back on the pitch. I'm 100% certain nothing shady was going on (like in the NFL that time with deflated balls) but knowing it wasn't the 'real' ball was in the back of my mind lol
Good point. I was frustrated by that, and it would have meant his second yellow would have really counted!!
probably won’t even mention us, it will be all about the unbeaten run….and then they will focus on OGS saying Jack fouled Bruno.
So by all accounts either Salisu or Tino was man of the match. Stephens apparently played well and showed some leadership - not to mention the tackle in the build up to the goal. Apparently Perraud ran himself into the ground All against a team that scored 5 against the media’s darlings last week where the only attacking change was switching the abject Dan James for Martial who on paper is far the superior player Most interesting
We appeared to 'take our time' over throw ins, goal kicks etc, towards the end of the match. It got to the point that Man U players were recovering the ball, and giving it to our players, in an attempt to get us to re-start the game. It's almost as if we were playing for time. Successfully. Maybe we've learned how to control situations...
Just checked it was 5, 3 for united 2 for us. From memory it’s 30 seconds per sub and 30 for a goal. So that is 3 mins, I assume the extra 2 were for the time wasting/minor injuries during the half (can remember Djenepo being down for a short while for example)
